An organic light emitting display device includes a plurality of pixel columns, a first data wiring, a second data wiring, and a power supply wiring. The pixel columns include pixels repeatedly arranged in a first direction, and the pixel columns are repeatedly arranged in a second direction. The first and second directions are substantially perpendicular to each other. The first data wiring extends in the first direction and is connected to the pixels in an even row. The second data wiring extends in the first direction and are connected to the pixels in an odd row. The power supply wiring extends in the first direction between the first and second data wirings.

Display apparatus having a simple pixel structure and method of driving the same

A display apparatus includes a first substrate, a second substrate, and a driver chip. The first substrate includes a plurality of gate lines disposed in the display area and extended in a first direction, a plurality of data lines disposed on a gate insulating layer insulating the gate lines and extended in a second direction substantially perpendicular to the first direction, and a gate driving circuit section disposed in the first peripheral area adjacent to first ends of the gate lines. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. A liquid crystal is interposed between the first and second substrates. The driver chip is disposed in the second peripheral area adjacent to second ends of the gate lines opposite to the first ends so that the width of the upper and lower portions of the display area may be decreased.

Display apparatus

An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display is disclosed. In one aspect, the OLED display includes a plurality of pixels, each including a driving thin film transistor (TFT) formed over a substrate and including a driving gate electrode, a first storage capacitor comprising a first electrode and a second electrode, and a second storage capacitor comprising a third electrode and a fourth electrode. The first electrode is electrically connected to the driving gate electrode and the second electrode is formed over the first electrode and electrically insulated from the first electrode. The third electrode is electrically connected to the first electrode, is formed on a different layer from each of the first and second electrodes, and does not overlap the second electrode. The fourth electrode is formed over the third electrode and electrically insulated from the third electrode.

Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display

An OLED display is disclosed. A plurality of signal lines are formed over a substrate, and a plurality of pixels are formed over the substrate in a matrix form and electrically connected to corresponding signal lines. The signal lines include a plurality of scan lines configured to transmit a scan signal, a plurality of initialization lines configured to transmit an initialization signal, and a plurality of data lines configured to transmit a data signal. An n-th row pixel includes a switching thin film transistor (TFT) electrically connected to an n-th row scan line and a corresponding data line among the data lines. A driving TFT is electrically connected to a drain of the switching TFT, an OLED is electrically connected to a drain of the driving TFT, and an initialization TFT is configured to be turned on based on an initialization signal transmitted via an n-th row initialization line.

A scan driver includes a plurality of decoder type stages respectively outputting a plurality scan signals. An n-th stage includes a first input block configured to provide a first DC voltage to a first node in response to a plurality of selection signals, a pull-down block configured to pull down a first node voltage, a second input block configured to reduce a voltage drop of a second node voltage when a scan signal is output, and to provide a second DC voltage to a second node in response to the selection signals, a buffer block configured to output the first node voltage, that is a buffer output voltage, in response to the first node voltage and the second node voltage, and an output block configured to output the scan signal.

A display device includes a display panel, a light emission control driver, and a brightness compensator. The display panel includes first pixels in a first display area and second pixels in a second display area. The light emission control driver controls light emission times of the first and second pixels. The brightness compensator detects a degree of deterioration of the first pixels and a degree of deterioration of the second pixels. The degrees of deterioration of the first and second pixels are different. The brightness compensator controls the light emission control driver to set the light emission times of the first pixels differently from the light emission times of the second pixels based on the different degrees of deterioration of the first and second pixels.
