A film includes a polymeric material and a plurality of particles dispersed therein. The polymeric material includes a plurality of elongate polymeric elements oriented along substantially a same first direction and interconnecting the particles. A ratio of a volume of the plurality of particles to a volume of the polymeric material is at least 5. An elongate portion of at least a first elongate polymeric element in the plurality of elongate polymeric elements may conform to and be bonded to a first particle in the plurality of particles along an entire length of the elongate portion. The first elongate polymeric element may extend from the elongate portion at least to a second particle in the plurality of particles.

A film includes a polymeric material and a plurality of particles dispersed therein. The polymeric material includes a plurality of elongate polymeric elements oriented along substantially a same first direction and interconnecting the particles. An elongate end portion of at least a first elongate polymeric element in the plurality of elongate polymeric elements conforms and is bonded to a first particle in the plurality of particles along an entire length of the elongate end portion. An elongate mid portion of at least a second elongate polymeric element in the plurality of elongate polymeric elements conforms and is bonded to a second particle in the plurality of particles along an entire length of the elongate mid portion with the second elongate polymeric element extending away from the second particle from opposite ends of the elongate mid portion. Multilayer films and processes are also described.

Electronic telecommunication articles are described comprising a crosslinked fluoropolymer layer. In typical embodiments, the crosslinked fluoropolymer layer is a substrate, patterned (e.g. photoresist) layer, insulating layer, passivation layer, cladding, protective layer, or a combination thereof. Also describes are methods of making an electronic telecommunications article and method of forming a patterned fluoropolymer layer. The fluoropolymer preferably comprises at least 80, 85, or 90% by weight of polymerized units of perfluorinated monomers and cure sites selected from nitrile, iodine, bromine, and chlorine. Illustrative electronic communication articles include integrated circuits, printed circuit boards, antennas, and optical fiber cables. Fluoropolymer compositions are also described.

Electronic telecommunications articles comprising crosslinked fluoropolymers and methods

An article comprising hollow ceramic microspheres and multi-component fibers is disclosed. The multi-component fibers are adhered together, and the hollow ceramic microspheres are adhered to external surfaces of the multi-component fibers. A method of making the article and use of the article for insulation are also disclosed.

A method is disclosed that includes contacting a hydrocarbon-bearing formation with a treatment composition comprising solvent and a fluorinated polymer. The fluorinated polymer includes: a first divalent unit represented by formula (I): wherein Rf represents a fluoroalkyl group having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms; each Ris independently hydrogen or methyl; Q is a bond or &#x2014;SO&#x2014;N(R)&#x2014;, wherein R is alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; and m is an integer from 1 to 11, a second divalent unit comprising a poly(alkyleneoxy) group; and a third divalent unit comprising a pendant ionic group. The solvent includes not more than ten percent by weight methanol and not more than 25 percent by weight water, based on the total weight of the solvent, and/or the solvent solubilizes or displaces brine in the hydrocarbon-bearing formation. Treated hydrocarbon-bearing formations are also disclosed.

A composition is disclosed that includes fluorinated polymer and a non-fluorinated polymer. The fluorinated polymer includes first divalent units independently represented by formula and second divalent unit independently comprising a pendent cationic, anionic, amphoteric, or amine-oxide group or a pendent poly(alkyleneoxy) segment. The non-fluorinated polymer is RO-(EO)&#x2014;(RO)-(EO)&#x2014;Ror RO&#x2014;(RO)-(EO)&#x2014;(RO)&#x2014;R. A method of making the composition and methods of reducing the surface tension of a liquid and a method of treating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation are also disclosed.
