An electrical terminal includes a base, a first elastic arm and a second elastic arm formed side by side by extending upwardly from an upper end of the base, and a protruding portion. The first elastic arm has a mating portion, and the second elastic arm has a contact portion. The protruding portion protrudes and extends from a first side of the first elastic arm, and the first side of the first elastic arm is adjacent to the second elastic arm. A lower surface of the protruding portion has a contact surface overlapping with the contact portion in a vertical direction, such that the contact portion upwardly abuts the contact surface. When the chip module presses downwardly on the electrical terminal, the contact portion can move on the contact surface, such that the chip module does not need to press downwardly on the contact portion with a relatively large pressure.

Electrical terminal and electrical connector in vertical compression contact with chip module

An electrical connector includes two adjacent terminal groups in a front-rear direction, including a front terminal group and a rear terminal group. Each terminal group includes a ground terminal and a signal terminal. The ground terminal has a first base portion and a first elastic arm. The first elastic arm includes two extending arms and a through slot formed therebetween. The signal terminal has a second base portion and a second elastic arm. The first elastic arm and the second elastic arm are used to be electrically connected to a mating member. In a same terminal group, the signal terminal is located in front of the first base portion, and the second elastic arm runs through the through slot. The mating member presses on the first elastic arm. The first elastic arm of the ground terminal of the rear terminal group abuts the ground terminal of the front terminal group.

Electrical connector and electrical connector assembly

An electrical connector includes: an insulating body provided with multiple accommodating holes running vertically therethrough, and multiple terminals correspondingly accommodated in the accommodating holes. Each accommodating hole has two protruding portions. Each terminal includes a main body portion. Two upper elastic arms are formed by bending upward and extending from left and right sides of the main body portion. Each upper elastic arm extends backward to form an upper abutting portion. A strip connecting portion extends upward from the main body portion to be connected to a strip. The strip connecting portion is located between the two upper elastic arms. Each of the left and right sides of the main body portion is provided with a position limiting portion protruding outward. The position limiting portion is located below the protruding portion. The position limiting portion and a corresponding upper elastic arm overlap along a vertical direction.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating body and multiple terminals accommodated in the insulating body. Each terminal has a base portion, a strip connecting portion extending upward from the base portion to be connected to a strip, and an elastic arm extending from the base portion. The elastic arm has a first tearing edge torn from the strip connecting portion, a second tearing edge torn from the strip, and a blanking edge blanked from the strip. The second tearing edge or the blanking edge has a dividing point. When each terminal is connected to the strip and expanded in a same vertical plane, the dividing point and a top point of the first tearing edge are vertically aligned. After the elastic arm is formed by bending, the dividing point and the first tearing edge are both located at a back side of the strip connecting portion.

An electrical connector includes a body provided with multiple accommodating holes running through the body vertically, and multiple terminals correspondingly accommodated in the accommodating holes. Each terminal includes a main body member and multiple conductive members. The main body member has two long edges extending in a front-rear direction and two short edges. The conductive members are arranged in the front-rear direction. Each conductive member has a base electrically connected to the main body member and an elastic arm. The base has a vertical flat plate portion downward covering the main body member. The elastic arm extends upward from an upper end of the flat plate portion. Each elastic arm has at least one contact portion located in front of the corresponding base to be downward abutted by the electronic component and to move downward. Two adjacent terminals in the front-rear direction are separately provided in the front-rear direction.

A terminal set and an electrical connector are provided. The terminal set includes a first terminal and a second terminal. The first terminal has a first base, a first elastic portion extending upward from the first base, and a first contact portion extending backward from the first elastic portion. The second terminal has a second base, a second elastic portion extending upward from the second base, and a second contact portion extending backward from the second elastic portion. The second elastic portion is located in front of the first elastic portion and overlaps with the first elastic portion in a front-rear direction, and the second contact portion does not overlapped with the first elastic portion in an vertical direction, thereby enhancing the density of the terminal set, and increasing contact points of the terminal set in contact with a mating component in a limited space.

Terminal set and electrical connector

An electrical connection device includes an electronic component and a docking component. The electronic component includes a first conductor. The first conductor has a first section and a second section extending forward from the first section. The second section has a contact portion. A width of the contact portion in an extending direction of the second section gradually decreases. The docking component includes a second conductor conductively connected to the first conductor to transmit a high-frequency signal. The contact portion abuts the second conductor. The first section is located behind the second conductor. Thus, the cross-sectional area of the abutting location of the contact portion and the second conductor gradually decreases in the extending direction of the second section. That is, the cross-sectional area of the abutting location of the contact portion and the second conductor gradually decreases relative to the cross-sectional area of the first section.

Electrical connection device

A plug connector includes: a circuit board; a mating joint having an insulating body and multiple conductive terminals provided on the insulating body; at least two outer power terminals; and a cable having at least two outer power lines, multiple inner power lines and multiple signal lines. The conductive terminals are electrically connected to the circuit board, and include multiple inner power terminals and multiple signal terminals. Each outer power terminal has a conducting portion and a tail portion. The tail portion is fixedly provided on the circuit board, and the conducting portion is located on a lateral side of the mating joint. Each outer power line is electrically connected to the tail portion of a corresponding outer power terminal. The inner power lines are electrically connected with the inner power terminals respectively. The signal lines are electrically connected with the signal terminals respectively.

Connector assembly

An electrical connection device has a first insulating body. A strip-shaped first conductor is accommodated in the first insulating body. The first conductor as a whole is arranged horizontally to electrically connect backward with a first docking component. A bottom surface of the first conductor has a front edge, and a contact area extends backward from the front edge. A second docking component includes a second conductor located below the first conductor. The second conductor has a front end, a rear end, and a top surface connecting the front and rear ends. An elastic body is located above the first conductor and downwardly abuts the first conductor. A pressing piece provides a downward force to make the first conductor downwardly abut the second conductor.

An electrical connection device includes: a first insulating body; a first conductor is accommodated in the first insulating body, a foremost end of a lower surface of the first conductor is provided with a lower edge, and a contact area extends backward from the lower edge; a second mating element including a second conductor located below the first conductor and provided with a front edge and a rear edge and a top surface connected to the front edge and the rear edge; an elastic body located above the first conductor; and a pressing member presses the elastic body and provides a downward acting force such that the first conductor downward abuts the second conductor, the contact area is fully attached to the top surface, the lower edge is located between the front edge and the rear edge and abuts the top surface, and the rear edge abuts the contact area.

A cable apparatus includes a circuit board having ground and signal pads, an insulating body in front of the circuit board, a pair of differential signal terminals retained in the insulating body, a cable located in front of the insulating body, and a shielding shell fixed to the insulating body. One ground pad is provided on each of two sides of adjacent two signal pads. Each terminal has an elastic portion extending out of the insulating body and conducting the signal pad, and a contacting portion exposed on a surface of the insulating body. The cable has two cable cores connected to the contacting portions, two insulation layers respectively wrapping the cable cores, and a shielding layer wrapping the insulation layers. The shielding shell has one end covering the contacting portions and conducting the shielding layer, and the other end covering the elastic portions and connected to the ground pads.

Cable apparatus

A cable includes: at least two cores for transmitting signals, a first insulator and a second insulator each wrapping one of the cores, and a shielding sheet. The first insulator has a first surface, the second insulator has a second surface urging against the first surface, and at least parts of the first surface and the second surface are not overlapped. The shielding sheet has a wrapping portion, and a first end portion and a second end portion located on two sides of the wrapping portion. The wrapping portion longitudinally wraps around both the first insulator and the second insulator in the direction parallel to axes of the cores, such that a space is formed between the shielding sheet, the first surface, and the second surface. The first end portion and the second end portion bend and enter the space.
