A battery module for a vehicle includes a cell module in which battery cells are overlapped with each other while having a predetermined directivity, and a cooling channel module directly bonded to at least one surface parallel to an overlap direction of the battery cells of the cell module, the cooling channel module having a refrigerant circulated therein, where a cell bonding surface of the cooling channel module has a wave-shaped cross section curved along a curvature formed by end portions of the overlapped battery cells.

A battery pack is provided and includes a battery module that has a plurality of stacked battery cells and an end cover disposed on an outer side to face an outermost battery cell. A case having a receiving space accommodates the battery module and the receiving space has a side wall facing the end cover. A surface pressure patch is disposed between the end cover of the battery module and the side wall which are disposed in the receiving space, and is configured to apply a pressure to an inside of the battery module when an interval between the end cover and the side wall is closer to a predetermined interval due to swelling of the battery cell.

A battery-cooling device for a vehicle is provided. The device includes a plurality of frames provided with battery cells mounted thereto and having apertures provided in opposite side surfaces of lower ends of the frames. A pipe is inserted through the apertures. A coolant inlet is mounted on a first side surface of a lower end of each of the plurality of frames and communicates with a first end of the pipe. A coolant is introduced into the coolant inlet. Additionally, a coolant outlet is mounted on a second side surface of the lower end of each of the plurality of frames and communicates with a second end of the pipe. The coolant is then discharged from the coolant outlet.

Battery-cooling device for vehicle and manufacturing method of same

A battery module having a cooling structure with a minimized size while providing high cooling efficiency is provided. The battery module includes a front plate and a rear plate that are arranged at a front side and a rear side of a battery pack in which a plurality of battery cells is stacked and a heat-dissipating member that is arranged under the battery pack and absorbs heat generated by the battery pack. Additionally, side plates are arranged at lateral ends of the front plate and the rear plate, arranged to be in contact with respective lateral ends of the heat-dissipating member, and include a cooling channel through which a coolant circulates to cool the battery pack.

A safety device for preventing overcharging of a battery includes: a battery stack including a plurality of cells; a safety circuit connected to two or more cells and provided with an electrical conduction control unit that controls electrical conduction; and a closed circuit disposed between the cells connected to the safety circuit and provided with a switching unit which is switched on or off upon cell swelling, such that when cell swelling occurs, the switching unit is switched on by a pressing force, disabling the electrical conduction control unit of the safety circuit so electrical conduction between the cells is established via the switching unit, and when cell swelling occurs again, the switching unit is switched off, cutting off the electrical conduction between the cells.

Safety device for preventing overcharging of battery

An apparatus for preventing battery overcharge is provided and includes a plurality of holders interposed between cells stacked within a battery to enclose the cells in a stacking direction. An installation space is formed between outer parts of at least two holders that enclose the cells. In addition, a fluid pouch is disposed within the installation space and adjacent to the cells inside the installation space, and contains a fluid therein. A cutting part is disposed within the installation space and has a first end disposed adjacent to the fluid pouch, and has a cutter edge heading between a lead tab and a bus bar at a second end of the cutting part.

An apparatus preventing overcharging of a battery and a battery including the apparatus are provided. The apparatus includes holders interposed on respective gaps between battery cells to be stacked and an installation space formed between borders of adjacent holders. A cutting module is inserted into the installation space and an inserted end thereof is disposed between the cells adjacent to an inner side of the installation space to be fixed to a holder and an exposed end thereof has a cutter blade directed to a gap between a lead tap and a bus bar bonded together that is formed. The gap between the ends is connected with a plurality of hinges to compress the hinges to be unfolded when the cell is expanded in a side direction and to deploy the exposed end outwardly for the cutter blade to separate the bonding of the lead tap and the bus bar.

Disclosed is an inside ventilation system of a vehicle for a driver or an occupant to achieve a more comfortable inside environment in the summer or winter. The inside ventilation system includes a control unit configured to receive an operating signal from a smart key, sense an inside temperature of the vehicle when the operating signal is transferred and judging whether the inside temperature is deviated from a required temperature range; a comparison process of comparing the inside temperature and a battery temperature when the inside temperature is deviated from the required temperature range; and a control process of controlling a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system (HVAC) and an operation of a battery operated fan by comparing the inside temperature and the battery temperature.

Disclosed herein is a battery cooling duct. The duct includes a suction portion disposed between a rear seat and a floor panel of a vehicle, an inlet of the suction portion fluidly communicating with an interior of the vehicle to suction interior air. An extension portion is formed by extending an outlet side of the suction portion to a rear of the vehicle, e.g. a trunk, between the rear seat and the floor panel, and defines a passageway configured to allow the interior air to pass therethrough. A discharge portion extends from an outlet of the extension portion to the rear of the vehicle, and discharges the interior air passed through the extension portion, through an outlet of the discharge portion to the battery of the vehicle.

Disclosed is a system for protecting a BMS from electromagnetic waves, and more particularly, to a system for protecting a BMS from electromagnetic waves to prevent voltage sensing errors due to the electromagnetic waves generated by current from a battery cell. The system includes: a battery having a plurality of battery cells; a power relay assembly intermittently charging and discharging the battery; a battery management system (BMS) connected to the battery cell via a voltage sensing wire to predict a battery's SOC; and a housing surrounding the battery and the power relay assembly with one side of the outside of the housing having a separate section for therein for receiving the BMS so as to partition the BMS and the battery in different spaces.

Battery system for protecting battery management system from electromagnetic waves

Disclosed is a high voltage battery pack apparatus for a vehicle which includes a cooling device having first and second battery packs which are installed in a center console of the vehicle. The first and second battery packs may be uniformly cooled through a distribution duct to improve cooling performance which minimizes the number of cooling fans that are used. Since the number of cooling fans is minimized and a discharging duct is not used, weight reduction and cost savings can be achieved.

More specifically, a battery pack that includes a plurality of modules is mounted lengthwise in a center console installation space between a driver seat and a passenger seat. A biometric authentication method in accordance with an aspect of the present invention includes generating a first one-time authentication template from biometric information using one-time transform information, and requesting authentication, comparing the first one-time authentication template with a one-time registration template, updating the one-time registration template and the one-time transform information when authentication is achieved according to a result of the comparison, wherein the updated one-time transform information is used to generate a second one-time authentication template to be authenticated according to the result of the comparison with the updated one-time registration template when successive authentication is requested.
