Provided is a method for analyzing metagenomic information using a degenerate primer which can be applied for quickly determining the utility value of a massive amount of metagenome samples. In particular, the superfamily-specific degenerate primer of the present invention is used to quickly detect the presence or absence of the genetic information of the target peptides in the metagenome by a simple method, thereby collecting a large amount of useful peptide resource information from various metagenome samples at high speed. Further, the present invention may be used for screening new peptide genes by designing and producing superfamily-specific degenerate primers of new target peptides based on the method of the present invention. In addition, the method of the present invention can be applied not only to enzymes but also to studies related to polypeptides, oligopeptides, antibiotic resistance genes, antimicrobial peptides, antifungal peptides, oligopeptides, markers, or single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP).

Method for exploring useful genetic resources through bulk metagenome analysis and use thereof

The present disclosure relates to methods of preparing an ultra-low molecular weight keratin peptide and use thereof. In particular, the present disclosure relates to a method of preparing an ultra-low molecular weight keratin peptide using culturing a microorganism having keratinolytic activity in a medium including keratin, ultrafiltration, ion exchange chromatography and gel filtration chromatography, a peptide prepared by the method, and a cosmetic and food composition for preventing or improving skin aging or skin wrinkles including the same. According to the method of preparing a keratin peptide of the present invention, it is possible to eco-friendly biologically treat waste resources and efficiently purify and recover anti-aging functional ultra-low molecular weight keratin peptides. In addition, the keratin peptide of the present disclosure breaks down collagen to have abilities to inhibit MMP-1 expression and activity, which is an enzyme that causes skin aging, which has an excellent effect on anti-skin aging and skin wrinkle improvement and has no toxicity to skin cells. It is suitable for use as a cosmetic, pharmaceutical or food composition for preventing, improving or treating skin aging or skin wrinkles, thereby being effectively used for the efficient and rapid production and development of high value-added functional cosmetic substances.

Method of preparing ultra-low molecular weight keratin peptide

The present invention relates to a novel thermophile-derived keratinase having keratin decomposition ability. Further, the present invention relates to a polynucleotide encoding the keratinase, a recombinant vector containing the same, host cells transformed by using the recombinant vector, and a method for preparing a keratinase including a step of culturing the host cells. Further, the present invention relates to a composition for decomposing keratin containing the enzyme; and a method for decomposing keratin by using the same. Further, the present invention relates to a keratin decomposed product decomposed by the enzyme. The keratinase according to the present invention rapidly and effectively decomposes hardly-decomposable keratin, and thus it is expected that the keratinase can be used for the effective treatment and the high value-added resource recovery of agricultural and livestock waste, which causes environmental problems (for example, a novel material for enzyme cosmetics), and can be used in an innovative enzymatic bioconversion technique utilizing various decomposition enzyme groups.

Thermophile-derived keratinase and use thereof

The present invention relates to a composition for epimerization of a non-phosphorylated hexose, comprising sugar epimerases derived from thermophiles, and a method for preparing a non-phosphorylated hexose epimer using the composition. The sugar epimerases derived from thermophiles according to the present invention can effectively catalyze an epimerization reaction of a non-phosphorylated hexose and can easily produce an epimer form of the non-phosphorylated hexose, in particular a rare sugar hexose, and thus can be usefully utilized in the pharmaceutical and food industry.
