A method of receiving power of a wireless power receiver, including a signal transmission phase of transmitting a signal including an FOD status packet to a wireless power transmitter; a power reception phase of receiving a first power from the wireless power transmitter when a NAK response indicating that a foreign object is present in the charging area of the wireless power transmitter is received from the wireless power transmitter, or receiving a second power from the wireless power transmitter when an ACK response indicating that the foreign object is not present in the charging area of the wireless power transmitter is received from the wireless power transmitter, in response to the FOD status packet; a phase of transmitting a reception power packet including information on reception power intensity to the wireless power transmitter; and a phase of receiving a signal including information on a result of determining whether the foreign object is present in the charging area from the wireless power transmitter using information measured or calculated by the wireless power transmitter in response to the reception power packet, while receiving the second power.

According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include a display and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to control the display to display a first screen for configuring first data, control the display to display a second screen associated with the first data while displaying the first screen, receive, through the second screen, a first user input for changing a value of the first data displayed on the first screen from a first value to a second value, and after receiving the first user input, control the display to display, through the first screen, an animation which continuously displays values between the first value and the second value. A wireless power transmitter of transmitting power to a wireless power receiver, including a controller configured to determine whether a foreign object is present in a charging area of the wireless power transmitter; and a transmission part configured to transmit a wireless power according to whether the foreign object is present, wherein the controller receives a signal including an FOD status packet from the wireless power receiver, determines whether the foreign object is present in a charging area of the wireless power transmitter based on the FOD status packet; wherein the controller is set to operate in a first power transfer mode when it is determined that the foreign object is present in the charging area, or to operate in a second power transfer mode when it is determined that the foreign object is not present in the charging area; wherein the controller receives a reception power packet including information on the reception power intensity from the wireless power receiver, determines the reception power intensity of the wireless power receiver based on the information on the reception power intensity, measures or calculates a power loss based on a difference between the determined reception power intensity and the transmission power intensity of the wireless power transmitter, and corrects any one of a transmission power, a reception power, and a loss of power using the power loss; and wherein the controller determines whether the foreign object is present in the charging area of the wireless power transmitter while being operated in the second power transfer mode.

A method of controlling a power transmitter, the method including entering a negation phase with a power receiver including receiving a foreign object detection status packet from the power receiver, detecting whether a foreign object is present based on the foreign object detection status packet, and transmitting a NACK response to the power receiver indicating the power transmitter has detected the foreign object is present or transmitting an ACK response to the power receiver indicating the power transmitter has detected the foreign object is not present; and entering a power transfer phase including transmitting a first power to the power receiver in response to the transmitted NACK response and again detecting whether the foreign object is present while transmitting the first power, and transmitting a second power greater than the first power in response to the transmitted ACK response.
