A method of manufacturing a double-sided polarizing plate and a double-sided polarizing plate manufactured using the same are provided. The method of manufacturing a double-sided polarizing plate includes attaching transparent films to both surfaces of a polarizer by means of adhesive layers, irradiating the adhesive layers with active energy rays emitted by an energy source disposed in a single direction with respect to the polarizer, and thermally treating a surface of the transparent film disposed opposite to the energy source at a temperature of 25&#xb0; C. to 65&#xb0; C.

Method of manufacturing double-sided polarizing plate and double-sided polarizing plate manufactured using the same

A method of manufacturing a double-sided polarizing plate and a double-cited polarizing plate manufactured using the same are disclosed. The method of manufacturing a double-sided polarizing plate including attaching transparent films to both surfaces of a polarizer via adhesive layers; irradiating the adhesive layers with active energy rays in an amount of light of 200 mJ/cmor more through an energy source located in a single direction, based on the polarizer; and thermally treating a surface of the transparent film provided to oppose the energy source at a temperature of from 10&#xb0; C. to 25&#xb0; C.

There are provided a radically curable adhesive composition and a polarizing plate including the radically curable adhesive composition. The radically curable adhesive composition includes, based on 100 parts by weight thereof, 40 to 80 parts by weight of a first compound represented by the following Formula 1; 15 to 50 parts by weight of a second compound including at least one carboxy group; and 0.5 to 10 parts by weight of a radical initiator.

There is provided a novel dichroic dye having liquid crystal properties, dichroic properties and polymerizable reactivity, the dichroic dye being used to form a color filter layer having excellent physical properties such as dichroic ratio, heat resistance, durability, high contrast ratio and polarizing properties, a composition comprising the same for color filter, a color filter array plate (an upper plate) prepared therefrom, and a liquid crystal display comprising the color filter array plate. The dichroic dye has a structure of R1-L1-M-L2-D (wherein, D is a dichroic structure, M is a structure with liquid crystal properties, R1 is a reactive end functional group, and L and L1 are linking structures that link R1, M, and D), and the composition for forming a color filter layer includes the dichroic dye. Also, the color filter array plate, which comprises color filter layer formed of the composition of this invention and the liquid crystal display, which comprise the color filter array plate but does not requires an upper alignment film and/or a polarization plate are provided. The color filter array plate and the liquid crystal display comprising the same have excellent physical properties such as durability, polarizing degree, resolution and contrast ratio.

Dichroic dye for color filter, composition comprising the same for color filter and color filter array prepared therefrom

Disclosed are a new dichroic dye having liquid crystal properties and dichroic properties and capable of being used for forming a polarization film with excellent heat resistance, durability, and polarizing properties, a composition including the same for a polarization film, a method for forming a polarization plate with excellent durability using the composition, and a polarization plate prepared thereby. The new dichroic dye has a structure of R1-L1-(M,L,D) (where, D is a dichroic structure, M is a structure with liquid crystal properties, R1 is a reactive end functional group, and L and L1 are linking structures). The composition for a polarization film includes the dichroic dye. In the method for forming the polarization plate, the composition for a polarization film is applied to a substrate and cured to prepare the polarization plate. The polarization plate has excellent dichroic ratio, heat resistance, durability, and polarizing properties.

A coating composition having excellent antifogging property, good abrasion resistance, improved adhesion to the substrate and good water resistance, which comprises an epoxy functional organosilane or the hydrolysate or condensate thereof; an amino functional organosilane or the hydrolysate or condensate thereof; a hydrophilic (meth)acrylate monomer, or a copolymer of two components selected from the hydrophilic (meth)acrylate monomer, another hydrophilic monomer and an organosilane and/or a terpolymer of the three components; a curing catalyst; and, optionally, a multi-functional (meth)acrylate monomer having at least two (meth)acryl groups and a radical polymerization initiator.
