A test socket may include a socket frame, a plate, a socket pin and a link. The socket frame may have a slot configured to accept an object. The plate may be free to move in the slot along an inserting direction of the object to support a lower surface of the object. The socket pin may be movably arranged in a direction substantially perpendicular to the inserting direction of the object. The socket pin may selectively make contact with a tab of the object. A link may be pivotally connected to the socket pin and the plate. Thus, the socket pin of the test socket may avoid dragging along the tab of the object during insertion, and accordingly, the tab of the object may avoid damage.

A semiconductor memory module includes a printed circuit board (PCB) including a rigid PCB part and a flexible PCB part including an overlap portion, a non-overlap portion, and memory components mounted on the PCB. The rigid PCB part includes a first surface and a second surface facing the first surface. The overlap portion of the flexible PCB part overlaps the rigid PCB part, and the non-overlap portion does not overlap the rigid PCB part. The flexible PCB part may include an overlap stacked structure including at least one doubling portion.

The printed circuit board includes an interconnection substrate on which electronic components are mounted and in which a plurality of signal lines are arranged. The signal lines are electrically coupled to the electronic components. A heat sink is disposed on one surface of the interconnection substrate to dissipate heat of the electronic components, and in which no signal lines are arranged. The printed circuit board includes a bending substrate coupling the interconnection substrate to the heat sink, and formed of a flexible material configured to be bent.

Printed circuit board, memory module having the same and fabrication method thereof

A semiconductor memory module having a reverse mounted chip resistor, and a method of fabricating the same are provided. By reverse mounting the chip resistor on the semiconductor memory module, the resistive material is protected, thereby preventing open circuits caused by damage to the resistive material. Also, a chip-resistor connection pad of a module substrate is formed to extend higher from the module substrate than other connection pads connected to other elements. Thus, the resistive material of the chip resistor does not contact the module substrate, thereby preventing poor alignment and defective connections.

Semiconductor memory module with reverse mounted chip resistor

A stacked semiconductor module, a method of fabricating the same, and an electronic system using the module are provided. A first semiconductor module having a plurality of semiconductor devices mounted on a rigid printed circuit board (PCB) and a second semiconductor module having a plurality of other semiconductor devices mounted on a flexible PCB are provided. On the rigid PCB a number L of first tabs may be disposed on a first surface, and a number K of second tabs may be disposed on a second surface of the rigid PCB. The flexible PCB may have a number M of third tabs on a third surface, and a number N of fourth tabs on a fourth surface of the flexible PCB. The second tabs may be combined with the third tabs using a conductive adhesive. The third tabs may be electrically connected to corresponding ones of the second tabs.

Stacked semiconductor module, method of fabricating the same, and electronic system using the same

Provided are a semiconductor package and a module printed circuit board (PCB) for mounting the same. Each of the semiconductor package and the module PCB includes a substrate, a first-type pad structure disposed in a first region of the substrate, and a second-type pad structure disposed in a second region of the package substrate. The first-type pad includes a first conductive pad disposed on the package substrate and a first insulating layer coated on the package substrate. The first insulating layer has a first opening by which a portion of a sidewall of the first conductive pad is exposed, and partially covers the first conductive pad. The second-type pad includes a second insulating layer coated on the package substrate to have a second opening and a second conductive pad disposed on the package substrate in the second opening to have an exposed sidewall. In this structure, the semiconductor package and the module PCB can have an excellent resistance to physical and thermal stresses to enhance structural reliability.

Semiconductor package and module printed circuit board for mounting the same

Provided are a heat sink and a memory module using the heat sink. In one embodiment, the heat sink includes a first and second guide pin respectively disposed in first and second heat spreaders placed around an object to be cooled. The first and second guide pins help prevent misalignment problems from occurring between the first and second heat spreaders, as well, as helping prevent the first and second heat spreaders from contacting each other when the first and second heat spreaders are pressed by pressure applied from the outside.

A heat spreader includes a heat sinking plate and a pressure clip. The heat sinking plate radiates the heat away from a heat source. The pressure clip fixes the heat sinking plate to the heat source. The pressure clip includes a spine (pressing part), one or more ribs and hook parts. The spine is arranged on the heat sinking plate. The one or more ribs extend from the spine and contact the heat source. The hook parts extend from the spine and are supported by the heat source. The pressure clip further includes mounting parts that couple the spine to the hook parts. A bending space is formed between the spine and the heat sinking plate. The heat spreader may be attached to a printed circuit board (PCB) with, e.g., a one-touch method, so that assembling processes of the memory module may be automated.

Heat spreader, semiconductor package module and memory module having the heat spreader

In one embodiment, a semiconductor module includes at least one semiconductor chip package, a board having functional pads and dummy pads, and at least one solder joint electrically connecting the semiconductor chip package and one of the functional pads of the board. Furthermore, at least one supporting solder bump is formed on one of the dummy pads and disposed under a portion of the semiconductor chip package. For example, the supporting solder bump may be disposed under a peripheral area of the semiconductor chip package.

The system and method employ the operations of converting base font data into converted font data, wherein the converted font data has a data bits equal in number to data bits of a background screen into which the converted font data will be transcribed; generating a mask for the converted font data; storing the converted font data and the mask in a memory of the wireless telephone; retrieving the mask stored in the memory. The system and method further employ the operations of executing an AND operation to logically AND the retrieved mask and the background screen to generate; a background screen base; retrieving the converted font data stored in the memory; executing an AND operation to logically AND the retrieved font data and a color data, thereby coloring the converted font data which are white data; and executing an OR operation to logically OR the background screen base and the colored converted font data in order to display a character on the background screen.

System and method for displaying font in a wireless telephone

A test coupon for measuring a dielectric constant of a memory module substrate has a plurality of test pattern layers each having a long trace and a short trace formed thereon. A first test pattern layer has an exposed surface and a second test pattern layer is formed internally. The first test pattern layer has probe pads respectively connected to the long and short traces of the first and second pattern layers. Probe pads of the first test pattern layer are connected to a via contact of the second test pattern layer by via holes. The via contact of the second pattern layer is connected to the long and short traces of the second pattern layer. The test coupon is used to measure the dielectric constant of a module board.
