The die can further include an output matching circuit including first and second second-order harmonic rejection circuits configured to resonate at about two times the fundamental frequency and a third order harmonic rejection circuit configured to resonate at about three times the fundamental frequency.

According to one aspect, embodiments of the invention provide an amplifier system comprising a first phase shifter configured to generate, based on an input signal, a first signal and a second signal, the second signal being out of phase with the first signal, a first amplifier configured to apply a first gain to the first signal to produce a gain adjusted first signal, a second amplifier configured to apply a second gain to the second signal to produce a gain adjusted second signal, a second phase shifter configured to combine the gain adjusted first and second signals to produce an output signal, and a controller configured to identify a high voltage swing across the first amplifier and, in response to identifying the high voltage swing, adjust the first gain to reduce output power of the first amplifier and adjust the second gain to increase output power of the second amplifier.

A power amplifier system can include a power amplifier that provides amplification to a radio frequency signal associated with a first frequency band and outputs an amplified radio frequency signal. An acoustic wave bandpass filter such as a surface acoustic wave or bulk acoustic wave bandpass filter is arranged in a feedback configuration with respect to the power amplifier. The filter can pass through a portion of the amplified radio frequency signal corresponding to a second frequency to provide negative feedback to the power amplifier, resulting in a reduction in an amount of gain from the power amplifier within the second frequency band.

A power amplifier system can be configured to provide amplification to a radio frequency signal associated with a first frequency band and to output an amplified radio frequency signal. The system can include a bandpass filter arranged in a feedback loop with respect to the power amplifier and configured to pass through a portion of the amplified radio frequency signal corresponding to a second frequency band. A first shifter can be positioned in the feedback loop, and an output of the feedback loop can provide negative feedback to an input of the power amplifier.

Aspects of this disclosure relate to reducing insertion loss associated with a bypass path. In an embodiment, an apparatus includes a first switch having at least two throws, a second switch having at least two throws, a bypass path between the first switch and the second switch, and at least one inductor. The at least one inductor is configured to compensate for capacitance associated with the bypass path to cause insertion loss of the bypass path to be reduced.

Apparatus and methods for detecting a lock in a phase-locked loop (PLL) are disclosed. In one aspect, a lock detect component includes a reference multiplier and a lock detect. The reference multiplier can receive a reference signal, a divider signal, and a voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) output generated by a VCO in a PLL from which the divider signal is generated. The reference multiplier can also generate a multiplied reference signal using the reference signal and the VCO output. The multiplied reference signal can have a frequency that is an integer multiple of a frequency of the reference signal. The lock detect can detect a phase lock of the reference signal and the divider signal based at least in part on comparing a signal generated from a delayed reference signal and a signal generated from a delayed divider signal for a predetermined period of time.

A power distribution and anti-theft alarm system for monitoring a plurality of electronic equipment utilizes existing front-end noise suppressor capacitors to provide a return path along the power supply lines of an injected RF current back to the system monitoring. Accordingly, removal or cutting of the power supply cords to the various electronic equipment can be monitored to provide a theft deterrent. Corresponding LEDs are utilized to provide status of the various channels coupled to the power distribution and anti-theft alarm system. Accordingly, power on/off, alarm on/off and electronic equipment status is indicated.

The invention provides a method and apparatus for diagnosing the mechanical condition of a machine. The method of the invention includes the following steps: sensing reference vibrational characteristics of a machine in the time domain; creating a reference signature from the reference vibrational characteristics; saving the reference signature; sensing test vibrational characteristics of the same machine in the time domain; creating a test signature from the test vibrational characteristics; automatically computing a measured distance between at least one point of the reference signature and at least one corresponding point on the test signature; automatically comparing the measured distance against a threshold value to determine if the machine is operating normally or abnormally; and providing a signal when the comparison indicates abnormal operation. An apparatus is also disclosed for implementing the method of the invention.
