A valve assembly () configured to maintain fluid flow therethrough at a constant flow rate. The valve assembly () including a flexible flow control member () defining an inner fluid chamber () within the flexible flow control member () and an inlet opening () to the inner fluid chamber (). An outer fluid chamber () is defined between the flexible flow control member () and an inner surface () of a valve housing (). The flexible flow control member () is configured to flex inward and shrink the inner fluid chamber () in response to a pressure decrease in the inner fluid chamber () relative to the outer fluid chamber () resulting from an increase in an inlet flow rate to maintain an outlet flow rate from the valve assembly () at the constant flow rate.

A method for preparing FDCA with furfural as a raw material includes (1) pretreatment of the furfural: subjecting the furfural and an alcohol compound to an acetalization reaction under catalysis of an acidic ion resin to obtain an acetal compound of the furfural with the alcohol compound; (2) under stirring, adding the acetal compound dropwise to a mixed liquid of an acylation reagent and an ionic liquid (IL) to allow a reaction for 1 h to 2 h, adding a catalyst to continue the reaction for 3 h to 5 h, and subjecting a resulting reaction system to a post-treatment to obtain 5-acylfurfural; and (3) mixing the 5-acylfurfural with hydrogen peroxide, adding a catalyst to allow an oxidation reaction, and after the oxidation reaction is completed, subjecting a product to washing and recrystallization to obtain a white crystal, which is the FDCA.

An electronic circuit can be coupled to an energy harvesting device. The output of the energy harvesting device can provide a damped oscillating waveform elicited from a transient stimulus applied to the energy harvesting device, such as in response to mechanical shock or mechanical impact excitation. A first switch can be coupled between the energy harvesting device and an inductor and configured to selectively connect the input node to the inductor. A second switch can be coupled between the inductor and an energy storage device, the second switch configured to selectively couple the inductor to the energy storage device. A control circuit can be coupled to the first and second switches, such as configured to operate the first and second switches according to one or more of an over bias flip technique, a half bias flip technique, or a bias flip technique.
