A display device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure includes a light emitting diode and a pixel driving circuit which drives the light emitting diode, the pixel driving circuit includes a driving transistor which applies a driving current to the light emitting diode, a first transistor which applies a first reference voltage to a gate electrode of the driving transistor, a second transistor which applies a data voltage to the gate electrode of the driving transistor, a third transistor which applies a second reference voltage to a source electrode of the driving transistor, and a storage capacitor connected to the gate electrode and the source electrode of the driving transistor. According to the present disclosure, the threshold voltage Vth and the mobility of the driving transistors are internally compensated to improve an image quality.

A pixel circuit may comprise: a first transistor having a first terminal connected to a data line and to which a data signal is applied and a gate terminal connected to a scan line and to which a scan signal is applied; a third transistor having a gate terminal connected to a second terminal of the first transistor and a second terminal connected to a light emitting device; a capacitor having a second terminal commonly connected to the second terminal of the first transistor and the gate terminal of the third transistor; and a second transistor having a second terminal commonly connected to a first terminal of the capacitor and a first terminal of the third transistor, a first terminal connected to a first power supply voltage, and a gate terminal connected to an emission line to which an emission signal is applied.

Pixel circuit and driving method thereof and display panel having the same

Disclosed are a display device and a method for driving a pixel of the display device. The device and method is capable of securing a time to sense a threshold voltage of a driving transistor and of compensating for the threshold voltage during operation of the pixel. Each of a plurality of pixels has a 5T1C structure including first to fourth transistors and a driving transistor. The first to fourth transistors are configured to apply driving signals through first to fourth scan lines, respectively. Thus, even without increasing the number of driving signals applied to each pixel, a long time for sensing a threshold voltage of each pixel can be secured.

A pixel circuit driving method of controlling an operation of a light-emitting element provided in a pixel of a display panel may comprise: applying pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) signals having a plurality of levels to a first terminal of a first transistor having a second terminal connected to a control terminal of a second transistor configured to drive the light-emitting element with a current according to a gray scale required for the light-emitting element; and applying a PAM signal of any one level selected from the PAM signals to the control terminal of the second transistor during each sub-frame time corresponding to a turn-on time of the first transistor controlled by a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal having a plurality of sub-frames in a single frame according to the gray scale.

According to the present disclosure, the pixel circuit comprising an optical fingerprint sensing circuit comprises a pixel control circuit, the pixel control circuit comprising: a first photodetector which receives a light and generates a first signal; a second photodetector which receives a light and generates a second signal; and a self-illuminator which receives differential signals of the first signal and second signal and outputs an output signal, includes at least one transistor component and at least one capacitor component, and outputs a light on the basis of a data signal.

The present disclosure relates to a pixel circuit including an optical fingerprint sensing circuit, a method for driving a pixel circuit including the optical fingerprint sensing circuit, and a display device including the pixel circuit including the optical fingerprint sensing circuit. The pixel circuit includes: a self-light emitting element which displays images by a driving current controlled by a driving transistor; and a light-receiving element which receives light emitted from the self-light emitting element and reflected through a fingerprint of a user and converts it into a photocurrent. The driving transistor functions as a buffer which transmits an output voltage of the light-receiving element to an output line of the pixel circuit.

Pixel circuit including optical fingerprint sensing circuit, method for driving pixel circuit, and organic light emitting display device

The present disclosure related to an optical fingerprint identification display and a driving method thereof. In the optical fingerprint identification display and the driving method thereof, the fingerprint identification display includes: a display panel and a processor. The display panel includes a plurality of pixels arranged in a two-dimensional matrix. The pixel includes: at least one subpixel which emits light on the basis of a first signal received from the processor; and an optical sensor which receives the light emitted from the subpixel and is reflected from a fingerprint and generates a second signal. The processor determines a touch region on the display panel, and transmits the first signal to one or more pixels included in the touch region, and identifies the fingerprint of the user on the basis of the second signal received from the pixel.
