A heavy-duty vehicle includes a chassis, a wheel supporting the chassis, a drive system, a service brake, a drive system controller, and a service brake controller. The drive system includes a motor associated with the wheel. The motor is configured to propel the wheel and to apply a dynamic brake torque to the wheel. The service brake is associated with the wheel and configured to apply a service brake torque to the wheel. The drive system controller controls operation of the motor. The drive system controller selectively modulates the dynamic brake torque to the wheel based on traction conditions. The service brake controller controls operation of the service brake. The service brake controller may selectively modulate the service brake torque to the wheel based on the traction conditions. Modulation of the dynamic brake torque may be disabled during modulation of the service brake torque.

A stabilizer wheel arrangement is actively damped when remotely positioning a stabilizer wheel of a towable agricultural implement by detecting an onset of ground-induced vibration and automatically introducing a phase-shifted vibration-countering or cancelling/damping modulation pattern into a signal that simultaneously and cooperatively controls the flow of hydraulic fluid to and from both the rod and base ends of the bore of a double-acting hydraulic cylinder, to hold the piston of the hydraulic cylinder at a target position determined from a desired position input signal corresponding to a desired position of the stabilizer wheel with respect to a frame of the agricultural implement.

A system for monitoring soil conditions within a field includes an agricultural implement including a frame and a ground-engaging tool coupled to the frame. The system further includes a first sensor coupled to the ground-engaging tool and configured to detect motion of the ground-engaging tool as the agricultural implement is moved across the field. The system additionally includes a second sensor separate from the first sensor. The second sensor is configured to detect an orientation of the ground-engaging tool relative to the frame as the agricultural implement is moved across the field. The system includes a controller communicatively coupled to the first and second sensors. The controller is configured to determine an indication of a soil condition at a given location within the field based at least in part on the detected motion and the detected orientation of the ground-engaging tool at the given location within the field.

System and method for monitoring soil conditions within a field

A system for monitoring soil conditions within a field includes an agricultural implement including a frame and a ganged tool assembly supported relative to the frame and including a toolbar coupled to the frame and a plurality of ground-engaging tools coupled to the toolbar. The system further includes a first sensor provided in operative association with the ganged tool assembly and configured to detect motion of the ganged tool assembly. The system further includes a second sensor separate from the first sensor configured to detect an orientation of the ganged tool assembly relative to at least one of the field or the frame. The system includes a controller communicatively coupled to the sensors and configured to determine an indication of a soil condition at a given location within the field based at least in part on the detected motion and orientation of the ganged tool assembly.

A system for monitoring frame levelness of an agricultural implement may include first and second sensors configured to detect first and second parameters indicative of forces exerted on first and second ground engaging tools of the implement by the ground, respectively. The system may also include a controller configured to monitor a parameter differential between the first and second parameters based on measurement signals received from the first and second sensors, with the monitored parameter differential being indicative of at least one of pitch or roll of a frame of the implement. The controller may be further configured initiate a control action associated with adjusting the pitch and/or the roll of the frame based on a magnitude of the monitored parameter differential to adjust an orientation of the frame relative to the ground.

System and method for monitoring frame levelness of an agricultural implement

A jumper harness for a work vehicle or agricultural implement is provided. The jumper harness includes multiple electrical conductors, a first connector, and a second connector. The first and second connectors are configured to couple the jumper harness to a wiring harness of an electrical circuit of the work vehicle or the agricultural implement. The jumper harness also includes a light emitting diode (LED) coupled to the electrical conductors, wherein the LED is configured to emit light when receiving electric power.

A remotely positionable stabilizer wheel arrangement for a towable agricultural implement utilizes a control unit that receives an input signal indicative of a desired position of the stabilizer wheel, and/or a desired depth of penetration of tillage tools operatively attached to the front and rear of the implement frame, to automatically control a hydraulic positioning cylinder of the remotely positionable stabilizer wheel arrangement to position and hold the stabilizer wheel at the desired position of the stabilizer wheel, by simultaneously controlling pressure in both the rod and base ends of the bore of the hydraulic cylinder to hold the stabilizer wheel at a target position determined from the desired position input signal.
