A thin battery includes a sheet-like electrode assembly; a non-aqueous electrolyte with which the electrode assembly is impregnated; and a housing in a sealed manner. The electrode assembly includes a pair of first electrodes located at an outermost side of the electrode assembly, a second electrode interposed between the pair of first electrodes, and a separator disposed between each first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode includes a first current collector sheet and a first active material layer attached to one surface of the first current collector sheet. The second electrode includes a second current collector sheet and second active material layers attached to both surfaces of the second current collector sheet. A content x of the non-aqueous electrolyte per unit area of the first active material layer is larger than a content y of the non-aqueous electrolyte per unit area of the second active material layer.

Thin battery and battery-mounted device

There is provided a cylindrical pin-type lithium-ion secondary battery having excellent high temperature storage characteristics and charge-discharge cycle characteristics. The battery includes: a bottom-closed cylindrical battery case having an opening portion; a wound-type electrode assembly and a non-aqueous electrolyte housed in the battery case; and a sealing plate sealing the opening portion. The battery has: an outer diameter R of 3 to 6.5 mm; a height H of 15 to 65 mm; an amount of the non-aqueous electrolyte per discharge capacity of 1 mAh of 1.7 to 2.8 &#x3bc;L; and a packing ratio of 71 to 85%.

Lithium ion secondary battery

The lithium primary battery comprises: a positive electrode; a negative electrode including lithium or a lithium alloy; a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte. A surface of the negative electrode on a side of the carbon material layer has first ruggedness and adheres to a surface of the carbon material layer on a side of the negative electrode. A surface of the carbon material layer on a side of the separator has second ruggedness. The first ruggedness and the second ruggedness correspond to each other. The first ruggedness and the second ruggedness may be ruggedness formed by pressing the carbon material layer onto the surface of the negative electrode, thereby deforming the carbon material layer and the surface of the negative electrode.

Lithium primary battery and method of producing same

The invention provides a lithium primary battery including a negative electrodecomprising metal lithium or a lithium alloy, a positive electrodeincluding a positive electrode active material, a separatorinterposed between the negative electrodeand the positive electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrodeincludes a coating layeron a surface thereof facing the positive electrode, the coating layer containing carbon particles each having fluorine-containing fine particles on the surface thereof, for the purpose of improving both the discharge performance and the high temperature storage characteristics.

Lithium primary battery and method for producing the same

A lithium primary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator, a positive electrode case, a negative electrode case, a gasket, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes: lithium or a lithium alloy; a lithium carboxylate layer formed on a surface of the lithium or lithium alloy; and a carbon layer formed on a surface of the lithium carboxylate layer. This configuration allows the lithium primary battery to have suppressed negative electrode polarization during discharge and improved large-current discharge characteristics in a low temperature environment and after high temperature storage.
