In order to provide a biological sample analysis apparatus capable of preventing a container storing a sample from being charged and of measuring only a luminescence intensity of light emitted from the sample accurately, a biological sample analysis apparatus for rapid microbiological test analyzes light generated from a biological origin substance contained in a sample, and includes a holder that holds a plurality of containers storing the sample, a photodetector fixed at a predetermined position, a holder drive mechanism that drives the holder and sequentially positions each of the containers held by the holder at a detection position detected by the photodetector, and a neutralizer that neutralizes the containers held by the holder.

Biological sample analysis apparatus and biological sample analysis method

To provide a sample preprocessor that can make the amount of a sample liquid after filtering accurate and raise the accuracy of subsequent measurement or the like, the sample preprocessor, where a sample liquid is filtered to capture a predetermined component on a filter, includes a connection mechanism that connects a sample container and a suction source. The sample container includes a bottle that stores a sample liquid and a cartridge that has a tubular shape, has a proximal end side attached to the bottle and, has the filter provided therein. The connection mechanism includes a suction terminal that connects a distal end side of the cartridge and the suction source and sucks the sample liquid in the sample container, and an attachment surface that the bottle is attached to and arranges the cartridge in a predetermined position relative to the suction terminal.

Sample preprocessor and analysis system

The present invention is one for achieving an improvement in analysis accuracy, and a sample analyzing device that measures light emitted by introducing a reagent to a sample contained in a container to analyze the sample, and the sample analyzing device includes: a holder that holds the container; a casing that has a door for taking in/out the holder; a nozzle to/from which a pipette tip for injecting the reagent into the container can be attached/detached; a photodetector that measures the light emitted from the sample in the container supported by the holder; and a disposal box into which the pipette tip after injection is disposed of, in which the disposal box is configured to be arranged in the casing and to be taken in/out via the door.

Sample analyzing device

The present invention is one that intends to achieve improvements in both analysis efficiency and analysis accuracy without difficulty, and a biological substance analysis device that analyzes light derived from a biological substance in a sample, and the biological substance analysis device includes: a holder that holds multiple containers containing the sample; a photodetector that is fixed at a predetermined position; a holder driving mechanism that moves the holder to position each of the containers held in the holder at a detection position by the photodetector in sequence; and a light shielding mechanism that, while guiding light emitted from the sample in a container at the detection position to the photodetector, prevents light emitted from the sample in the other containers from being guided to the photodetector.

Biological sample analysis device

A reference electrode according to the present invention maintains continuity between an internal solution and measurement sample and measures the electrical potential of the measurement sample even if the measurement sample in a liquid junction of the reference electrode has air bubbles mixed therein. This reference electrode is provided with: a second body provided with a second internal solution chamber in which a second internal solution is housed and a liquid junction portion disposed in the second internal solution chamber such that the second internal solution and measurement sample that is to be measured come into contact; and an internal electrode disposed inside the second internal solution. The liquid junction portion is formed from a conduction component formed from a porous or fibrous component and an aperture adjacent to the conduction component.

Reference electrode

A measuring instrument is capable of suppressing a flow path from being clogged due to the precipitation of crystals from an internal solution or a calibration liquid even when kept in a waiting state. The measuring instrument includes a measuring electrode and a reference electrode and on the basis of the potential difference generated therebetween, measures a characteristic value of a sample. In order to accomplish the above object, the measuring instrument is adapted to be able to have two states, i.e., a measurement state of measuring the characteristic value of the sample and a waiting state of not performing measurement, and further include a refilling mechanism that refills the calibration liquid or the internal solution used in the reference electrode. In addition, the refilling mechanism is adapted to continuously or intermittently refill the calibration liquid or the internal solution in the waiting state.

Measuring instrument

In order to provide a reference electrode capable of suppressing an error in a measured value even when refilling an internal solution during sample measurement, a reference electrode including: a casing adapted to store the internal solution in an internal space; and an internal electrode that rises from the bottom surface of the internal space and is immersed in the internal solution further includes: a surrounding wall that rises from the bottom surface so as to surround the side circumferential surface of the internal electrode; and an inlet port that is for refilling the internal solution in the casing. In addition, in the reference electrode, the surrounding wall is adapted such that a fore end surface thereof is opened and the height thereof is higher than the height of the internal electrode, and the inlet port is adapted to be opened toward a space outside the surrounding wall.

The present invention intends to reduce a measurement error in the concentration of a component due to the effect of the grain concentration of grain dispersion liquid. Also, the present invention is one that calculates the concentration of a predetermined component added into grain dispersion liquid in which grains are dispersed in liquid, with use of a light absorption spectrum obtained by irradiating the grain dispersion liquid with light and a preliminarily prepared calibration curve representing the relationship between a light absorption spectrum and the concentration of the predetermined component. Further, the calibration curve is prepared on the basis of multiple light absorption spectra obtained by measuring light absorption spectra of multiple grain dispersion liquids having mutually different grain concentrations for each of mutually different multiple concentrations of the predetermined component.

The present invention improves an S/N ratio and light intensity resolution provided by an A/D converter, and an analyzer includes: a measurement cell irradiated with light during sample measurement; a dimming element irradiated with the light during reference measurement; an amplifier configured to amplify an analog light intensity signal outputted from a light detector; an A/D converter configured to convert the analog light intensity signal into a digital light intensity signal; and an arithmetic device configured to calculate absorbance using a digital sample light intensity signal outputted from the A/D converter during the sample measurement and a digital reference light intensity signal outputted from the A/D converter during the reference measurement, wherein an amplification factor of the amplifier is set such that the analog reference light intensity signal and the analog sample light intensity signal become less than or equal to a full scale of the A/D converter.
