Provided is a polymerization initiator, which has an excellent curing rate and is an alternative to a polymerization initiator system using a benzoyl peroxide-aromatic amine compound, a curable composition containing the polymerization initiator, a dental material and dental filler material containing the composition, and a kit for preparing the curable composition. The polymerization initiator contains one or more compounds (A) selected from the group consisting of a pyrazolidinedione compound and/or pyrazolidine(di)thione compound (A1), a salt (A2) of the compound (A1), and a malonate compound (A3).

A monomer composition for a dental material including a compound represented by Formula (1). In Formula (1), X represents an n-valent organic group having from 1 to 200 carbon atoms and containing at least one selected from the group consisting of an oxygen atom and a nitrogen atom, in which the at least one selected from the group consisting of an oxygen atom and a nitrogen atom is bound to Y; and each Y represents a (meth)acryloyl group-containing group (Y1) represented by the following Formula (A), a (meth)acryloyl group (Y2), a hydrogen atom, or a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, with the proviso that at least one or more Y, among all Ys included in the compound represented by Formula (1), is the (meth)acryloyl group-containing group (Y1).

Monomer composition for dental materials, composition for dental materials, and dental material

Provided are monomers useful for dental materials that include a compound in which a core and a specific terminal group are bonded to each other directly or via a linking group, wherein the core is a Cpolyvalent organic group having a valence of not less than 3 containing an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom in which an atom bonded to the terminal group or the linking group is the oxygen atom or the nitrogen atom; the terminal group is a specific (meth)acryloyl group-containing group, a (meth)acryloyl group, a Chydrocarbon group or a hydrogen atom, and the terminal group needs to meet specific requirements; and the linking group is a specific divalent group, and when the compound contains a plurality of linking groups, the linking groups may be the same as or different from each other. Compositions, dental materials and kits are also provided.

Dental polyfunctional monomers and dental hydroxyl group-containing monomers

Provided is a curable composition that has a sufficient pot life and does not cause a significant delay in curing time even after long-term storage at room temperature or higher. A separately packed curable composition includes: (A) a first pack containing: (a1) a polymerizable monomer having no acidic group, (b) a polymerizable monomer having an acidic group, and (c) a transition metal compound; and (B) a second pack containing: (a2) a polymerizable monomer having no acidic group, (d) an aromatic amine compound, and (e) at least one compound selected from sulfinic acid and a salt thereof.

Separately packed curable composition

Provided are adhesive monomers for dental materials including compounds represented by the general formula (1) below, in which the core (X) and the terminal group (Y1) are bonded to each other directly or via the linking group (Z): X(Y1)n(Z&#x2014;Y1)n(1) wherein nrepresents the number of terminal groups (Y1) directly bonded to the core (X), nrepresents the number of terminal groups (Y1) bonded to the core (X) via the linking group (Z), and the sum of nand nis equal to the valence of the core (X); the core (X), the linking group (Z) and the terminal group (Y1) are further defined. The adhesive monomers can enhance adhesive strength to the tooth in dental treatment, and impart high mechanical strength to cured products.

Adhesive monomers for dental materials

An object of the present invention is to provide a curable composition having sufficient polymerization properties even under acidic conditions. The curable composition of the present invention includes (a) a polymerizable monomer having an acidic group, (b) a transition metal compound, (c) at least one compound selected from benzoxazole compounds and benzothiazole compounds, and (d) a reducing agent.

Curable composition

A process capable of producing an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer having a high molecular weight even under the conditions of a high polymerization temperature is provided. The process for producing an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer includes copolymerizing ethylene and an &#x3b1;-olefin having 3 or more carbon atoms in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst including a crosslinked metallocene compound (A) represented by the following general formula [I] and a cocatalyst component (B). In the general formula [I], Y is selected from a carbon atom, etc., M is a hafnium atom or the like, Rto Rare each selected from a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, etc., Rand Rare each a substituted aryl group or the like, at least one of Rand Ris a substituted aryl group having one or more electron-donating substituents having a Hammett substituent constant &#x3c3; of not more than &#x2212;0.2, Q is selected from a halogen atom, etc., and j is an integer of 1 to 4.
