A vehicle brake system installed on a vehicle equipped with an electric motor that applies a drive force to a wheel, including: a brake device configured to apply a braking force to the wheel; and a brake controller configured to control the braking force, wherein the brake controller is configured to execute a swinging-back reducing control for reducing swinging-back of a body of the vehicle on stopping by weakening the braking force immediately before the vehicle stops, based on a motor-rotation-speed-dependent running speed that is a running speed of the vehicle detected in dependence on a rotation speed of the electric motor.

Vehicle brake system

An electric brake device to be mounted on a vehicle includes a rotating body, a friction member, an electric motor, a piston, an operation conversion mechanism, an actuator, and a controller. The operation conversion mechanism is configured to include a rotating member and a linear motion member. The controller is configured to selectively execute a standby control of causing the linear motion member to stand by at a standby position where a clearance between the friction member and the rotating body is not larger than a backlash between a male screw and a female screw, and a backward movement control of moving the linear motion member backward to a backward movement position where the clearance is allowed to be equal to or more than the backlash, in a case where there is no braking force request for the electric brake device.

Steering apparatus for vehicle

A planetary gear mechanism is constructed of sun gear, planetary gears, and ring gear. The planetary gears are fixed to a carrier integral with an input shaft. The output shaft is coupled to the ring gear. The transmission ratio can be changed by rotating the sun gear through the worm wheel and worm gear, and agreement is achieved between rotating directions of the input shaft and output shaft.

A detection value from an absolute position sensor is stored immediately before turning off of an ignition switch and is compared with a detection value of the absolute position sensor at the turning on of the ignition switch. A driving motor is actuated based on detected deviation between the two detection values so as to rotate the output shaft, thereby achieving agreement of the positional relation between the input shaft and the output shaft.
