A rotary connector device includes a stator, a rotator, a first connector, and a second connector. The rotator is rotatable about a rotation axis with respect to the stator. The first connector is provided at the rotator. The second connector is provided at the stator. The first connector includes a first lead block which is attached to the rotator and a second lead block which is a member separated from the first lead block and is attached to the rotator. When viewed from an axial direction along the rotation axis, the first lead block is disposed so as to overlap at least partially the second lead block.

Rotary connector device

A lead block includes a lead block body and a plurality of busbars. The plurality of busbars is each partially embedded in the lead block body. The plurality of busbars includes a plurality of exposed portions. The plurality of exposed portions each extends in a longitudinal direction and disposed spaced apart from one another in an arrangement direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. The plurality of exposed portions includes at least one first exposed portion. The at least one first exposed portion includes a first surface and a first additional surface disposed on a reverse side of the first surface in the arrangement direction. The first surface includes a first cut surface having an area smaller than an area of the first surface. The first additional surface includes a first additional cut surface having an area smaller than an area of the first additional surface.

Lead block and rotary connector device

A rotary connector device includes a stator, a rotator, a first connector, and a second connector. The stator is configured to be attached to a vehicle body. The rotator is provided rotatably about a rotation axis with respect to the stator. The first connector is provided at the stator. The second connector is provided at the rotator. The first connector includes a first connector housing space in which a vehicle-body-side connector is disposed in a state where the vehicle-body-side connector is electrically connected to the first connector. When viewed from an axial direction defined along the rotation axis in a state where the stator is attached to the vehicle body, the first connector housing space is disposed not to overlap a vertical plane including the rotation axis.

A flat cable assembly for a rotary connector device includes a first lead block, a first flat cable, and a second flat cable. The first lead block includes a first lead block body and a first conductor that includes a first exposure surface exposed from the first lead block body and is attached to the first lead block body. The first flat cable includes a first cable end portion connected to the first exposure surface so as to extend from the first exposure surface in a first direction. The second flat cable includes a second cable end portion connected to the first exposure surface so as to extend from the first exposure surface in a second direction, which is different from the first direction.

A cancel cam includes an annular member, a cam wall, and at least one reinforcing rib. The annular member is rotatable integrally with a steering shaft about a rotation axis and includes an outer peripheral portion, an inner peripheral portion, and a first surface. The cam wall extends from the outer peripheral portion in an axial direction and extends along the outer peripheral portion in a circumferential direction. The at least one reinforcing rib extends from the cam wall toward the inner peripheral portion and couples the cam wall to the annular member. The cam wall has a first axial length defined from the first surface in the axial direction. The inner peripheral portion has a second axial length defined from the first surface in the axial direction. The second axial length is shorter than the first axial length.

A rotary connector device includes a fixed body, a rotation body, a connector, and an electrode. The connector is coupled to the fixed body and includes a second space and a cable cutting member in the second space which is in communication with the first space. The electrode is provided in the second space of the connector. An exposed conductor portion provided at one end of a cable is connected to the electrode. The cable extends from the second space to the first space. The other end of the cable is connected to the rotation body. The cable cutting member is configured to cut the cable before the exposed conductor portion connected to the electrode of the connector is disconnected when the cable is pulled due to rotation of the rotation body.

A rotary connector device includes a fixed body, a rotation body, and a connector. The rotation body is rotatable about a rotation axis with respect to the fixed body. The rotation body is assembled to the fixed body in a manner to form a first space between the rotation body and the fixed body. The connector includes a second space. The connector includes a first opening and a second opening. One end of a first cable is connected to a first electrode provided in the second space. One end of a second cable is connected to a second electrode provided in the second space. The first cable passes through the first opening. The other end of the first cable is connected to the rotation body. The second cable passes through the second opening. The other end of the second cable is connected to the rotation body.

A lever type connector in which a connector holder is reliably fit into a receptacle holder to prevent a half-fitting is provided. In the lever type connector, a restricting recess is provided on the front side of an arm plate of a lever, and below a multiple force recess. When a connector holder is inserted into the receptacle, a rear surface of the restricting recess abuts to a rear surface of a receiving portion to restrict rotation of the lever. Then, when the connector holder is pushed down to the standby position where the receiving portion is inserted into the multiple force recess, the restricting recess is away from the rear surface of the receiving portion, so that restriction of rotation of the lever is cancelled.

A lever connector is provided where fitting of a connector holder is reliably performed by rotation of a lever, so that workability is excellent. In a connector holder, a provisionally-retaining clawis provided to be elastically held by a first retaining portionat a predetermined rotating position in order to restrict rotation of the lever. In a receptacle connector, a pressing projectionis provided to move the provisionally-retaining clawto a retracted position where the provisionally-retaining clawis not held by the leverin a state that the connector holderis at a standby position, so that restriction of rotation of the leveris cancelled. On the other hand, an abutting surface of the first retaining positionof the leveris of a mountain-like shape including a restricting surfaceand a guiding surface
