It is an object of the present invention to provide a sliding member, a rolling bearing, and a cage each having a sliding surface excellent in a sliding property thereof even in the presence of lubricating oil and under conditions of a high sliding speed and a high contact pressure. The sliding member is used under an oil lubrication environment and has a sliding layer formed on an iron-based metal material. The sliding layer consists of a foundation layer including heat-resistant resin and a first fluororesin layer both formed on a surface of the iron-based metal material. A second fluororesin layer is formed on a surface of the foundation layer. After the foundation layer and the second fluororesin layer are calcined, the second fluororesin layer is irradiated with radiation rays. The heat-resistant resin does not thermally decompose when the foundation layer and the second fluororesin layer are calcined.

Sliding member, rolling bearing, and cage

A cage for a rolling bearing having a film, formed on a surface thereof, which wears little over a long period of time from an initial stage of sliding contact between the film and rolling elements as well as other members and does not peel off the surface of a base material of the cage or dissolve in lubricating oil containing a sulfur-based additive and a rolling bearing having the cage. A cage () retains needle rollers () which are rolling elements of a needle rolling bearing (). Of an entire outer surface of the cage (), a tin alloy film consisting of tin and a metal other than the tin is formed on at least a sliding-contact surface of the cage () to be subjected to sliding contact with the needle rollers () and a sliding-contact surface thereof to be subjected to sliding contact with other members.

Cage for rolling bearing and rolling bearing

A rolling bearing which is capable of preventing the rolling elements from dropping out from between the inner and the outer rings even when the separators have been worn to an advanced stage. A rolling bearing includes: a plurality of rolling elements arranged between an inner and an outer rings; and a plurality of prismatic separators disposed in a circumferential direction between the rolling elements. The separator includes integrally therewith a metal band on at least one of its outer surfaces including those which face the inner or the outer ring, or at least one of its axial side surfaces, excluding however, surfaces which face the circumferential direction and make contact with the rolling elements. The metal band has a narrower width than a width of the separator in the circumferential direction, and prevents wear of the separator from advancing beyond a certain extent.

Roller bearing

The present invention provides a grease composition having an excellent fretting wear resistance in a wide temperature region from low to high temperatures and particularly even at low temperatures and a rolling bearing in which the grease composition is packed. A grease composition () is packed inside a grease-packed bearing (). The grease composition () contains base oil, a thickener, and an additive. The additive contains at least, one kind selected from among a phosphite ester of formula (1) or a phosphite ester of formula (2):

The present invention provides a hard multilayer film formed body which has an intermediate layer excellent in its adhesion to a base material and a DLC film which is a surface layer excellent in its wear resistance, prevents peeling from occurring between the DLC film and the intermediate layer, and is excellent in its wear resistance and a method for producing the same. A hard multilayer film formed bodyconsists of a multilayer film formed on a surface of a base materialconsisting of a cemented carbide material or a ferrous material. The multilayer film has (1) a film, composed mainly of DLC, which is formed as a surface layerof the multilayer film; (2) an intermediate layer, composed mainly of a metallic material, which is formed between the surface layerand the base material; and (3) a stress relaxation layer, composed mainly of carbon, which is formed between the intermediate layerand the surface layer. The stress relaxation layeris a graded layer whose hardness increases continuously or stepwise from a side of the intermediate layertoward a side of the surface layer

Hard multilayer film formed body and method for manufacturing same

A resin composition for a sliding member is difficult to peel and whose component is difficult to elute when the resin composition is formed as a film on a surface of a mechanical part, even though the resin composition is used in environment where the sliding member contacts lubricating oil containing a sulfur-based additive or in atmosphere containing a sulfur-based compound. A resin composition for a sliding member to be used for a mechanical part having a surface thereof formed of said sliding member. The resin composition contains polyamide-imide resin having an elongation percentage of 60% to 120%, fullerene, and at least one disulfide selected from among molybdenum disulfide and tungsten disulfide. 0.1 to 10 vol % of the fullerene and 0.5 to 20 vol % of the disulfide are contained in an entirety of the resin composition.

Resin composition for sliding member and rolling bearing

The present invention provides water-resistant grease which improves the resistance to peeling which occurs from the surface of a bearing composed of carbon steel for machine structural use or the like even in a strict lubricating condition in which water may penetrate into the water-resistant grease during the operation of the bearing, and a rolling bearing and a hub bearing which use the water-resistant grease and have a long life. The water-resistant grease is composed of non-water-based base oil, a thickener, and a water dispersant used as an additive. The saturated amount of water dispersible in the water-resistant grease is 30 to 60 wt %. The water dispersant capable of dispersing the water in the water-resistant grease is a surface active agent. The non-water-based base oil is mineral oil. The thickener is a urea-based compound. The present invention also provides a rolling bearing and a hub bearing in which the water-resistant grease is enclosed.
