An image capturing apparatus that realizes both of efficient heat dissipation and size reduction of an image capturing apparatus body. The image capturing apparatus includes an imaging board having an image sensor mounted thereon, a main circuit board that has heat generating devices mounted thereon and is arranged substantially in parallel to an imaging surface of the image sensor on a rear side of the imaging board, a duct unit disposed on a rear side of the main circuit board, and a cooling fan that draws outside air into the duct unit. The duct unit has a duct base opposed to the main circuit board and disposed substantially in parallel to the main circuit board, and a duct plate disposed obliquely to the duct base at a predetermined angle. The cooling fan is mounted on the duct plate.

Image capturing apparatus capable of efficiently discharging heat from heat generating devices and reduced in size

An image capturing apparatus equipped with a function of performing image stabilization by moving an image capturing section (image sensor) and capable of effectively cooling the image sensor without increasing the size of the apparatus. The apparatus includes an image sensor board on which the image sensor is mounted, an image stabilization mechanism for performing image stabilization by moving the image sensor board, a first duct having an air flow passage and movable, a second duct having an air flow passage and fixedly disposed and connected to the first duct, and a cooling fan for causing outside air to flow through the first duct and the second duct. The image sensor board is held on the first duct.

An image pickup apparatus that can efficiently solve problems caused by heat generated by a heat generating element. The image pickup apparatus including a sensor substrate configured to implement an image sensor, and a main circuit board configured to implement a heat generating element. A length of the main circuit board is longer than a length of the sensor substrate in a width direction of the image pickup apparatus. The main circuit board is aslant arranged to an optical axis of the image pickup apparatus so that a first space part will be provided between the sensor substrate and the main circuit board. A cross section of the first space part in a plane that is parallel to both the optical axis and the width direction is approximately triangle.

A developer transporting device includes a first transport passage through which a developer is transported in a first direction along a direction oriented downwardly in a direction of gravity, and a second transport passage which communicates with the first transport passage on a downstream side of the first transport passage and through which the developer is transported in a second direction along a direction oriented upwardly. The first transport passage is provided with a first transport force generating member which generates a transport force for transporting the developer in the first direction, and the second transport passage is provided with a second transport force generating member which generates a transport force for transporting the developer in the second direction.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion configured to form a toner image on a recording material, a fixing portion configured to fix the toner image on the recording material, a stacking portion configured to stack the recording material on which the toner image is fixed, an air passageway provided between the image forming portion and the fixing portion and between the image forming portion and the stacking portion, and an air blowing portion configured to blow air to the air passageway from outside of the image forming apparatus. The air passageway is configured so that the air blown from the outside by the blowing portion passes below the stacking portion and, thereafter, is folded back below the fixing portion and, then, passes again below the stacking portion.

A sheet conveying device includes a third pivoting guide member located between a first pivoting guide member on a side of fixed guide members and a second pivoting guide member on a side of an opening/closing member. In a state in which an upstream conveying path and a re-conveying path are formed, the first pivoting guide member pivots toward the third pivoting guide member to expand the upstream conveying path when pushed by a sheet conveyed from the upstream conveying path, and the third pivoting guide member pivots toward the first pivoting guide member to expand the re-conveying path when pushed by a sheet conveyed from the re-conveying path.

An image forming apparatus for forming a toner image on a sheet includes a main assembly, an image forming station provided in the main assembly and configured to form a toner image on the sheet, and a fixing portion provided in the main assembly and configured to fix the toner image formed on the sheet, on the sheet, the fixing portion including a fixing rotatable member and a covering member covering the rotatable member. The image forming apparatus also includes a suction mechanism including a duct connected with an opening provided in the covering member, and a fan configured to suck air inside the covering member through the duct. The air sucked by the suction mechanism is discharged into a space in the main assembly other than a space through which the sheet passes.

A cooling unit has a cooling fan, a duct configured to guide air supplied from the cooling fan and having a shape extending along an axial direction of a photosensitive member, and a plurality of air outlet portions provided in the duct so as to be apart from each other in the axial direction. Air discharged from the plurality of air outlet portions is supplied to the inside of an image forming unit by utilizing a space as an air duct.
