A connector includes a housing, an outer shield including a tubular portion, and a terminal surrounded by the tubular portion of the outer shield. The connector is connected to a mating connector by moving toward the mating connector in a predetermined direction relatively with respect to the mating connector. A first end of the tubular portion of the outer shield is located in the predetermined direction in the tubular portion. The tubular portion of the outer shield has an inner circumferential surface facing a hollow space, an outer circumferential surface opposite to the inner circumferential surface, and a distal end surface provided at the first end. At least one of the distal end surface, the outer circumferential surface, and the inner circumferential surface is seamless over an entire circumference of the tubular portion surrounding the hollow space along a circumferential direction of the tubular portion.

In a connector, each of housings of a socket and a header serving as connector parts includes: a terminal holder extending in a first direction and includes a terminal section of the associated connector part; and a side wall connector extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and connected to one end of the terminal holder of the associated connector part in the first direction. The shield member includes a first portion on the side wall connector, and a second portion aligned with the terminal holder of the connector part in the second direction. The socket and the header are inserted into each other in a third direction intersecting the first and second directions. The second portion of at least one of the shield members includes a shield bent portion with a curved portion curving toward the other connector part to be inserted.

Connector and socket and header used for the connector

A connector includes plural terminals, a housing holding the terminals, and an inner shield. The connector is configured to be connected to a mating connector by moving toward the mating connector in a first direction relatively with respect to the mating connector. The terminals include two terminals arranged on both sides of the inner shield in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The inner shield includes a base extending in a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction, and an extension protruding from the base. The housing includes a shield holder holding the extension. This connector reduces noise propagation between the terminals.

Electrical connector with shielding between low and high frequency terminals and electrical connector device using the same

A connector includes an outer shield, a terminal surrounded by the outer shield, a housing fixed to the outer shield and holding the terminal; and an inner shield surrounded by the outer shield. The outer shield, the inner shield, and two virtual paths that connect the two tip regions of the inner shield to the outer shield by shortest distances, respectively, constitute plural electrically-closed loops surrounding the terminal. The electrically-closed loops include one or more particular electrically-closed loops. Each of the one or more particular electrically-closed loops does not surround any electrically-closed loop among the plurality of electrically-closed loops other than the each of the one or more particular electrically-closed loops. A longest loop length of the one or more loop lengths of the one or more particular electrically-closed loops is shorter than a wavelength of a maximum frequency of a transmission signal flowing through the terminal. This connector reduces resonance of a transmission signal.

Connector and connector device

A socket of a connector includes a socket housing, a socket terminal element, and an outer shield element. The socket housing includes a bottom plate, and first and second side wall portions facing each other and provided on an upper surface of the bottom plate. The outer shield element includes a main body portion disposed on an outer surface of the first side wall portion, a contact portion extending from the main body portion to the inner surface of the first side wall portion, and an outer shield terminal portion extending from the main body portion toward the bottom plate. The contact portion is configured to be electrically connected to an outside of the socket housing. The outer shield terminal is electrically connected to the contact portion via the main body portion. This connector suppresses generation of unnecessary radiation and noise, and also suppresses interference between high-frequency signals.

Connector and socket used for the same

A connector includes a housing, an outer shield fixed to the housing and including a tubular portion, and a terminal held by the housing and surrounded by the tubular portion of the outer shield. The tubular portion has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The first end and the second end of the tubular portion open. The tubular portion surrounds a hollow space. The connector is configured to be connected to a mating connector by moving toward the mating connector in a predetermined direction relatively with respect to the mating connector. The first end of the tubular portion of the outer shield is located in the predetermined direction in the tubular portion. The tubular portion of the outer shield has an inner circumferential surface facing the hollow space, an outer circumferential surface opposite to the inner circumferential surface, and a distal end surface provided at the first end. At least one of the distal end surface, the outer circumferential surface, and the inner circumferential surface is seamless over an entire circumference of the tubular portion surrounding the hollow space along a circumferential direction of the tubular portion.

Electrical connector with socket and header having mating shielding parts

A connector includes contacts, a housing and a mounting metal fitting. The mounting metal fitting possesses a joined section to be joined to a substrate. The joined section is exposed from a back surface of the housing. Each of the contacts possesses an exposed section exposed from the back surface of the housing. The housing possesses a protrusion and a recess. The protrusion is provided between the joined section and at least part of the exposed sections of the contacts, and protrudes from the back surface. The recess is provided between the protrusion and at least part of the exposed sections of the contacts, and is set lower than an end face of the protrusion to face the substrate.

Connector and connection system

The housing possesses a bottom wall and a periphery wall that surrounds a periphery of the bottom wall and is composed of a pair of first side walls retaining contacts with the contacts aligned in an arrangement direction, and a pair of second side walls, one of which connects one ends of the pair of first side walls, another of which connects other ends of the pair of first side walls. The mounting members possess a first mounting section covering at least part of each region, in which no contacts are aligned, of the first side walls, and a second mounting section that is separated from the first mounting section and covers at least part of the second side walls.

Mounting metal fitting, connector and connection system

In a connector, fitting a socket housing and a header housing to each other brings a socket-side signal terminal and a header-side signal terminal into contact with each other, and brings a socket-side power supply terminal and a header-side power supply terminal into contact with each other. The socket-side signal terminal and the socket-side power supply terminal are disposed along a long side direction of the socket housing. In the long side direction of the socket housing, the socket-side signal terminal is smaller than the socket-side power supply terminal in width.

A socket-side terminal includes: a root section that is fixed to a conductive wiring pattern on the main surface of a circuit wiring substrate by using solder; a rising section rising up from the root section and spaced apart from the main surface; an inverted U-shaped section one end of which is continuous with the top end of the rising section; a falling section that extends from the other end of the inverted U-shaped section towards the main surface; an inclined section that, as the inclined section extends from the bottom end of the falling section towards the main surface, is inclined with respect to the main surface to be spaced apart from the rising section; and an opposing section that is continuous with the bottom end of the inclined section, is positioned so as to be opposing the falling section, and is in contact with a header-side terminal.
