A battery holding structure includes a battery tray for storing a battery therein. A battery holding rack is configured to store the battery tray with the battery stored therein and to allow the battery tray to be pulled out along widthwise directions of the vehicle. A ground wire has one end connected to a negative terminal of the battery and another end connected to a grounding member on a vehicle frame. A movement prevention member fixes the other end of the ground wire to the battery tray and prevents the battery tray from being pulled out to one side along the widthwise directions of the vehicle with the ground wire which is connected to the grounding member.

Battery holding structure for vehicle

A lighting device for a vehicle includes a lens, a housing, an engaging part, and an engaged part. The engaging part and the engaged part are configured to be a state in which the lens is fixed in a predetermined position by turning the lens by a predetermined angle with respect to the housing after the lens and the housing are fitted in a direction of an optical axis of the lens. An inside of the lens abuts, by screwing the fastening member to the housing when the lens is fixed in the predetermined position, on an end of the fastening member so that turning of the lens is disenabled even if it is tried to turn the lens in a direction in which the lens is disengaged from the housing.

Lighting device for vehicle

A male housing () has a hood () for receiving a female housing () and the female housing () has a locking arm () for engaging the hood () when the housings () are fit together. Protection walls () are formed on the female housing () on opposite sides of the locking arm (). The protection walls () are substantially flush with the hood () when the housings () are fit together. An operation portion () of the locking arm () also is substantially flush with the hood () when the housings () are fit together. A predetermined interval is set between opposed ends of the protection wall () and the hood () and between the operation portion () and the hood (). Thus, an operator's gloves will not be caught while fitting the male and female housing () together.

Connector

A handlebar steered vehicle includes an operation lever provided on the steering handlebar, an operation detection switch for detecting an operation of the operation lever, and a starting circuit including a starting switch for connecting a battery with a starter motor, the operation detection switch and the starting switch being connected in series with the battery, such that the battery and the starter motor are connected to each other when the operation detection switch and the starting switch are tuned on. Further, a control unit drives a relay to connect the battery to a vehicle load, when an engine speed reaches or exceeds a predetermined value.

Handlebar steered vehicle having a starting circuit

To provide a winker apparatus in which assembly thereof is improved by eliminating the necessity to check biting of the winker cord. A front winker includes a winker holder mountable to a front fork. A winker body is mountable to one side of the winker holder via a winker supporting base. A winker cord is lead from the winker holder via the winker supporting base. The winker holder is formed with a storage groove for accommodating the winker cord. A cover is provided for covering the storage groove so as to retain the winker cord in a state in which the winker cord is stored in the storage groove.

Winker apparatus

To provide a rear lamp unit for a vehicle which is provided with a desired cut pattern on an outer lens so that the light-emitting area can be increased. A rear lamp unit is provided with upper and lower outer lenses for guiding light emitted from light-emitting diodes to the outside the vehicle. The upper and lower inner lenses are provided between the light-emitting diodes and the upper and lower outer lenses, respectively, and the upper and lower inner lenses are disposed at locations apart from the upper and lower outer lenses, respectively.

Rear lamp unit for vehicle

To improve the degree of freedom in attachment of an ignition switch apparatus, and to make the ignition switch apparatus less likely to be influenced by heat from an engine and by electrical noise interference, an ignition switch apparatus is provided including an antenna which performs radio communication for authentication with a transponder built in a key. The ignition switch is operatively attached to a pivot plate of the vehicle frame, on which a rear wheel is supported. In order to assure good communication with the key, the antenna is situated such that it projects from an outer face of a recessed portion of the pivot plate.

Arrangement structure for a motorcycle ignition switch apparatus, and motorcycle incorporating same

A large number of relays are concentrated in a limited space to utilize the space effectively. A relay box containing a large number of relays can be disposed in a narrow space between a rear fender and a seat bottom plate. The relays are mounted on three substrates within the relay box. Plural relays are arranged in a line on each of the substrates and the substrates are arranged in a stepped fashion like stairs. Therefore, the relay box is substantially in the shape of a parallelogram, and thus can be disposed in a narrow space along the rear fender of a vehicle. Conductors of the relays are drawn out along the rear fender.

Component parts box for vehicle

A switch panel device permitting the mounting of a larger number of switches together on a steering handle pipe is disclosed that improves operability and operator comfort and safety. Plural switches are arranged on columns and/or on stages. An indicating and warning switch group having higher urgency and frequency of use than remaining switch elements are allocated to a column which is located nearest a handle bar grip. Further, the indicating and warning switch group is also allocated to a first horizontal stage which is set on a horizontal line coincident with a handle pipe and into additional stages positioned adjacent to the first horizontal stage in vertical distribution.

Switch panel device in a saddle type vehicle

A handlebar switch mounting structure capable of firmly attaching a handlebar switch unit on a handlebar pipe and to improve the outward appearance of the handlebar switch. The handlebar switch mounting structure includes a first bracket having a circular portion which can be attached on substantially a half of the periphery of the handlebar pipe portion and front and rear flange portions and extended from both ends of the circular portion. The second bracket is provided that includes a circular portion which can be attached on the remaining half of the periphery of the handlebar pipe portion. The first and second brackets are securely fixed on the handlebar pipe portion by joining the second bracket to the first bracket set on the handlebar pipe portion. With the front and rear flange portions sandwiched together, the first and second case halves are joined and then attached to the handlebar pipe portion through the front and rear flange portions.

Handlebar switch mounting structure

To provide an auto-cruise canceling device for maintaining a good operating response of the vehicle. A DC servo-motor is used as an actuator for regulating a throttle opening during auto-cruising. When a throttle grip is turned during regulation of the throttle opening by the servo-motor, namely, during a cruising state, a turning force transmitted to a throttle drum through a throttle cable causes a variation in the load on the motor. An ECU detects load variations based on the current in the servo-motor. If the load variation is not less than a predetermined value, it is judged that a rider's cruise canceling action has been made, and bias of the servo-motor is stopped, thereby canceling the cruising state.

Constant vehicle speed maintaining device for motorcycle

This invention relates to facilitating the layout of cables in an electric connector box for a vehicle. Within the fuse box are disposed a large number of plug-in type blade fuses and screw type fuses. A difference in height is provided between mounting surfaces of the block fuses between terminal boards. The terminal boards of one type of fuse is set at a higher position than the terminal boards of the other type of fuse. Therefore, cables can be drawn out in the same direction without mutual interference. Although cable, which is laid inside, is screwed to the back of a substrate, the height of a screw portion for the cable is also set so as to avoid interference of the cable with back connections of the blade fuses.

Electric connector box for a vehicle

A shifter motor is provided as an actuator for shifting between a gear for reversing a vehicle by a starter motor and a mode for starting an engine with the starter motor. A switch panel is provided adjacent to a handle grip, and a starter/reverse switch for controlling the starter motor and a reverse shift switch for controlling a shifter motor are disposed adjacent to each other on an operation surface of the switch panel. By the positions of the switches, the rider can perform operations for reversing the vehicle with one hand.

To provide a bass-reflex speaker assembly having superior water resistance and which can be mounted on a motorcycle, while not being subjected to the influence of negative pressure due to wind during travel and which is capable of maintaining superior sound quality. A resonant duct projects downwards at an incline at a bottom surface of a speaker enclosure. It is therefore difficult for rain water to enter because the duct opens downwards and water that may enter temporarily can be easily discharged from the same duct. Furthermore, when speakers are positioned within the cowling of the motorcycle, negative pressure occurring due to wind when the vehicle is travelling acts not only on the front surfaces of paper cones of the speakers, but also on the rear surfaces via the ducts. Therefore, superior sound quality can be maintained without the influence of negative pressure being incurred and a bass-reflex speaker assembly suited to motorcycles is therefore possible.

Bass-reflex speaker assembly

An audio operating device provided on a handlebar of a motorcycle. The device includes a first operating plane which is tilted outwardly from the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, which contains audio switches which are generally operated most frequently. The switches on the first operating plane are accessible by a rider's left hand while holding the left handle grip. The left side of the device includes a talk knob and a power switch. The second operating plane, and a right side of the device, include switches which are less frequently used, and are accessible by the rider's right hand.
