A compound represented by Formula (1) can be used as a prolonged ectoparasite-controlling agent for an animal. A preparation for systemic application for use in prolonged control of an ectoparasite in an animal include the compound. A method for prolonged control of an ectoparasite on an animal includes systemically applying the compound. The compound may be used for preparing a medicament for prolonged control of an ectoparasite on an animal. A horticultural or agricultural insecticide containing the compound, and a method of protecting a crop from a harmful organism is also provided.

The present invention provides a fluorine-containing pyrazolecarbonitrile derivative and a method for producing the same, and a fluorine-containing pyrazolecarboxylic acid derivative obtained by using the fluorine-containing pyrazolecarbonitrile derivative and a method for producing the same. A fluorine-containing acyacrylonitrile derivative prepared from a fluoroacyl derivative and an aminoacrylonitrile derivative, is reacted with a hydrazine derivative to produce a fluorine-containing pyrazolecarbonitrile derivative represented by Formula (1).  In Formula (1), Rf represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and substituted with at least one fluorine atom; R1 represents an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms or the like. The fluorine-containing pyrazolecarbonitrile derivative represented by Formula (1) is reacted with water to produce a fluorine-containing pyrazolecarboxylic acid derivative.

A compact rotary transformer is disclosed. In the structure of the rotary transformer, a timing-signal producing unit detects a control signal superimposed on an electric power signal output from a power transmission channel of the rotary transformer to produce a timing signal. A head-switching-signal generating unit uses the timing signal to generate a switching signal for performing switching between reproducing heads so that one of the reproducing heads is selected by a switch. A reproduction channel of the rotary transformer outputs a reproducing signal via the switch.
