A shallow speaker and a method of manufacture for the shallow speaker. The method of assembly uses two different alignment jigs at two different stages of the assembly to ensure alignment of the speaker components. During manufacture, a subassembly of components is created in the speaker frame, and then removed along with the first alignment jig. A second alignment jig is then placed in the speaker, and the bobbin and voice coil added. The subassembly is then connected to the frame, and the voice coil connected to the external connection terminal. Finally, the cone and dust cap are installed.

Shallow sub woofer

A grille attachment for a loudspeaker is disclosed. A grille retainer is defined by a retention lip portion, a radial rim interface portion, and a hinge portion. The radial rim interface portion is in an abutting relationship with a flange radial mounting surface of the loudspeaker basket. The hinge portion connects the retention lip portion and the radial rim interface portion. The retention lip portion extends toward a flanged rim of the speaker basket, and defines an inner retention surface that is opposed to a flange circumferential surface. A grille extends across the griller retainer and is defined by a grille body and a grille rim that is circumferentially disposed and extending from the grille body. The grille rim is interposed between the flange circumferential surface and the inner retention surface, with the retention lip portion exerting a radial compressive force against the grille rim.

Grille attachment for loudspeaker

An apparatus for mounting a loudspeaker unit to a structure is disclosed. A primary mounting bracket is defined by an arcuate center section and a pair of opposed arms extending therefrom. There is at least one open groove and at least one substantially coextensive track spanning the arcuate center section. Each of the arms include a circular planar bearing structure rotatably engageable to a corresponding one of bracket coupling platforms on an enclosure of the loudspeaker unit. A tab defining at least one mounting hardware hole in axial alignment with open groove substantially throughout its length is in a guided sliding engagement with the track. The enclosure of the loudspeaker unit is rotatable about a first axis extending between the arms of the primary mounting bracket and about a second axis defined by a radial center of an arc corresponding to a travel path of the tab along the track.

Universal angle loudspeaker bracket

A coaxial loudspeaker for reproducing an electrical sound signal is provided. The loudspeaker has a magnetic driver assembly with a first annular slot and an opposed, coaxial second annular slot, each establishing a permanent magnetic field therein from a single magnet. Independently driven first and second voice coils are positioned within the respective one of the first and second annular slots, each being connected to a transducer element.

There is provided a speaker connector including first and second speaker elements each having an inward face, an opposing outward face, and an engagement wall extending between the inward and outward faces. The speaker elements are connectable to the first and second speakers, respectively. A connector housing includes first and second end faces disposed on opposing sides of a housing medial portion. First and second inner walls extend inwardly from the first and second end faces, respectively, to define first and second housing recesses. The first and second inner walls are configured to engage with the engagement wall of the respective speaker elements with the first speaker element being received within the first housing recess and the second speaker element being received within the second housing recess.

Interchangeable bar loudspeaker system

A moving coil loudspeaker has an interchangeable magnet assembly with a plurality of interchangeable magnet segments configured to be circumferentially disposed about a voice coil within the loudspeaker. Heat sink members can be arranged in between the magnet segments to absorb excess heat generated during operation of the loud speaker. In one embodiment, the magnet assembly has at least one annular magnetic member made up of the plurality of magnet segments, a plurality of heat sink members disposed in between the magnet segments, an annular first plate adjacent a first side of the annular magnetic member, and a yoke member having a second plate adjacent a second side of the annular magnetic member and a central cylindrical portion configured to pass through a central opening in the annular magnetic member.

Interchangeable magnet loudspeaker

A loudspeaker having a speaker basket including a basket rim, a speaker mounting hole, and a coupling hole disposed through the basket rim. The loudspeaker includes a first grill coupling engaged with the coupling hole, as well as a grill removably attached to the basket rim via the first grill coupling. The grill defines a solid surface portion which completely covers the speaker mounting hole and the coupling hole. The first grill coupling is interposed between the basket rim and the grill.

A bobbin interconnection assembly in a moving coil loudspeaker is disclosed. The assembly includes a first coupling member fixed to a central region of a diaphragm of the loudspeaker. The assembly also includes a second coupling member that may be removably engaged to the first coupling member. The second coupling member is fixed to an inner rim of an annular damper, and to a voice coil bobbin.

A loudspeaker includes a circular damper, a cone, and a cylindrical bobbin. The circular damper may include a centrally disposed cone attachment protuberance and a peripherally disposed top plate attachment section. The cone may have a central inner portion that may be attached to the cone attachment protuberance of the damper. The cone may be attached to the cylindrical bobbin, which may have a voice coil coupled thereto.

A terminal assembly that selectively couples multiple electrical loads in parallel or in series includes a circuit board that may be defined by a first section and a second section. A housing is disposed on the circuit board, and defines an access aperture overlapping multiple sets of jumpers attached to the first and second sections of the circuit board A cover is positioned on the access aperture to selectively expose the set of jumpers of the first section of the circuit board and the set of jumpers of the second section of the circuit board.

Terminal assembly for selectively coupling loads in parallel and in series

A terminal assembly for selectively coupling multiple electrical loads in parallel or in series includes a plurality of jumper contacts in a spaced relationship. The jumper contacts may be in electrical communication with load terminals as well as source terminals. Connections made in a first group of electrically connectable pairings of adjacent jumper contacts couples the load terminals, and thus any loads attached thereto, in parallel. Connections made in a second group of electrically connectable pairings of adjacent jumper contacts couples the load terminals in series.

Terminal for selectively coupling loads in parallel or in series

The present invention is a multi-chamber two-way center channel speaker for an audio system which has four stereo surround sound channels including a right front channel, a left front channel, a rear surround channel and a center channel. The preferred embodiment of the present invention center channel speaker comprises a VCR shaped cabinet having three parallel interior chambers including a front chamber, a middle and a rear chamber, all interconnected by offset openings. A tweeter and two midranges are installed in the front chamber. The rear chamber is vented through a rear opening. The volumes of the three chambers are expanded. This design and construction makes the three interconnected chambers a bass-reflex enclosure having gradually expanded volume for amplifying the backload of the two midranges. Therefore while the tweeter and the two midranges produce high and mid-frequency center channel dialogue sound effects of the audio system, the interconnected front, middle and rear chambers amplify the backload of the midranges to produce deep, rich, open and airy center channel sound effects of the audio system.
