A display module, in which panel electrode terminals of a display panel are bonded to pattern terminals of a Cu foil pattern of a flexible wire board by using an anisotropic conductive adhesive, has a solder resist for protecting the Cu foil pattern on a base material of the flexible wire board so that the solder resist is extended inside the display panel while having the flexible wire board connected to the display panel. Therefore, even when the flexible wire board is used in a bent state, poor connection is surely prevented while conveniently suppressing a break in wire of the Cu foil pattern when bent, thereby attaining a highly reliable display module.

An electronic module includes an electronic circuit substrate, and a plurality of driving circuit boards attached to a terminal region of the electronic circuit substrate while being arranged adjacent to one another in the x direction. The driving circuit boards are electrically connected to one another. Adjacent driving circuit boards are electrically connected to each other by only substrate terminals provided on the electronic circuit substrate, with the connection resistance therebetween being about 10 &#x3a9; or less.

A TFT substrate having formed thereon source bus lines and a source GS substrate having formed thereon source output wirings are respectively provided with a panel side auxiliary line and a driver side auxiliary line, each being provided so as to cross the source bus lines and the source output wirings via an insulating film, and in a substrate connection part, not only the source lines and source output lines but also the panel side auxiliary line and the driver side auxiliary line formed on respective substrates. With this structure, a wiring connection inferior between the wiring substrates to be connected can be fixed with ease while suppressing generation of secondary inferior.

An electronic module includes an electronic circuit board having circuit elements, signal lines connected to the circuit elements, and board terminals disposed on a terminal region, and an input board and driver circuit boards mounted on the terminal region of the electronic circuit board. Each of the driver circuit boards has input terminals and output terminals. The output terminals are electrically connected to the signal lines of the electronic circuit board. The input board has main wiring lines for transmitting signals input externally, and branch wiring lines branched from the main wiring lines. The branch wiring lines are electrically connected to the input terminals of the driver circuit boards via the board terminals of the electronic circuit board.

In a display module of the present invention, a light guide plate, having a cross sectional slope with respect to a display surface of a liquid crystal panel, is provided face to face behind the liquid crystal panel. Source TCPs and gate COFs, which are connected to the liquid crystal panel so as to make a right angle with each other, are respectively so extended as to reach to the back surface of the light guide plate. The gate COFs are bent along the slope of the light guide plate so that the gate COFs are so extended as to reach to the back surface of the light guide plate.

A liquid crystal display device has a liquid crystal panel and a plurality of TCPs each mounted with a liquid crystal driver IC. Around the liquid crystal driver IC, the TCP has signal input lines for inputting signals to the liquid crystal driver IC, first signal-output lines for feeding output signals of the liquid crystal driver IC to the liquid crystal panel, second signal-output lines for feeding the output signals of the liquid crystal driver IC to the adjacent TCP, power supply lines for driving the liquid crystal driver IC, and counter-electrode lines for feeding counter-electrode signals to the liquid crystal panel. The two counter-electrode lines are electrically connected to each other by means of a jumper chip. The wirings of the TCP are connected with the corresponding electrode terminals of the liquid crystal panel in a belt-shaped terminal connection area.

Liquid crystal display device

To realize a liquid crystal display device of such a packaging structure that a drive voltage can be supplied to TCPs without being seriously affected by a voltage drop caused by an increased resistance of wires despite a growth in size of a liquid crystal panel, the liquid crystal panel includes: source TCPs connected to source wires; and a circuit substrate for supplying a liquid-crystal-drive signal to the source TCPs. Between the source TCPs, there are provided: transmission panel wires for transmitting the signal supplied by the circuit substrate sequentially from one source TCP to the next; and a flexible substrate for stabilizing the signal transmitted via the transmission panel wires.
