An electronic component and manufacturing method for preparing an electronic component includes providing a first insulator layer having a first nickel content rate. A coil conductor and a second insulator layer having a first bismuth content rate and a second nickel content rate higher than the first nickel content rate are provided on the first insulator layer. The first insulator layer, the coil conductor, and the second insulator layer constitute a first unit layer. The first unit layer and an exterior insulator layer are laminated to obtain a laminate. After a step of firing the laminate, a nickel content rate in a first portion of the first insulator layer, the first portion being sandwiched between the coil conductors from both sides facing in a lamination direction, is lower than a nickel content rate in a second portion of the first insulator layer other than the first portion.

Electronic component and manufacturing method for same

A method for manufacturing a multilayer ceramic electronic component can prevent the occurrence of bubble trapping. In the method, when an external layer ceramic green sheet is pressure-bonded, for example, to a sheet made of a good quality paper having a rough surface, which is placed on a supporting member, followed by peeling off its carrier film, a first-layer ceramic green sheet is formed. The first-layer external layer ceramic green sheet uses a sterically hindered dispersing agent, such as an aryl ether polymer, as a dispersing agent. Since it is light in weight, the binder segregates at the upper side, and hence a C concentration changes in the thickness direction. More particularly, compared to a C concentration at a surface at a carrier film side supported by the carrier film, a C concentration at an open surface opposite to the surface at the carrier film side is about 1.5 to about 4.0 times.

A layered coil component includes a coil that is constructed by layering coil conductor patterns and ceramic sheets. The ceramic sheets include a first ceramic sheet and a third ceramic sheet having a permeability lower than the permeability of the first ceramic sheet. The third ceramic sheet has an arrangement that is astride at least two of the coil conductor patterns adjacent to each other in a layering direction, in a section including a coil axis of the coil. As a result, DC bias characteristics of the open magnetic circuit type layered coil component are improved.

Both ends of the coil of the coil assembly are respectively and electrically connected to an input electrode and an output electrode which are respectively disposed on two mutually facing end surfaces of the magnetic sintered body.
