A reversible thermal recording material permits recording having a clear contrast at a high sensitivity and erasing such images a number of times, at least 1,000 times, repetitively, and comprises a leuco dye, a reversible developer and a light-heat-converting dye, the light-heat-converting dye having a deterioration ratio of 20% or less when a laser beam having an oscillation wavelength of 830 nm is applied thereto repeatedly 1000 times at a temperature of 25&deg; C. at an energy of 2 J/cm or being a phthalocyanine compound having a vanadyl group, and a method of recording an image comprises applying a laser beam to the reversible thermal recording material, wherein the colored leuco dye is achromatized with energy that is 25 to 65% of the energy of the laser beam employed for causing the leuco dye to develop a color.

A contact 60 has a 'T'-like cross section, in which the width W3 of a back face or back portion 61d is greater than the width W4 of a front face or main section 61f. A contact-retaining groove 54 has a trapezoidal cross section, in which the width W1 of a bottom of the contact-retaining groove is greater than the width W2 of an opening on a lateral face of a contact-retaining portion 52. Also, the width W2 of the opening of the contact-retaining groove is smaller than the width W3 of the back portion 61d of the contact. When the contact 60 is received and retained in the contact-retaining groove 54, at least the back portion 61d of the contact 60 is retained inside the contact-retaining groove 54.

A plug connector 1 and a receptacle connector 5 are provided with two poles of power plug contacts 30, 30 and power receptacle contacts 70, 70, respectively, at end portions of their housings 10 and 50 on the right and left sides of signal contacts 20, 60, and 60'. The right and left end portions of the housings 10 and 50 are provided with connector securing metal parts 40 and 80 made of a conductive material, which cover the power contacts 30 and 70, respectively, whereby the connectors can be attached to circuit boards. When both connectors 1 and 5 mate together, the connector securing metal parts 40 and 80, the power contacts 30 and 70, the contacts 60, 60', and 20 are successively connected to each other.

An electrical connector assembly comprises a plug connector half 1 and receptacle connector halves 5 and 9, including a receptacle connector half 5 with power transmission contacts and a receptacle connector half 9 without any power transmission contact. These receptacle connector halves are alternatively used in correspondence with the application. The receptacle connector half 5 with power transmission contacts is provided with two polar receptacle contacts 70 for power transmission in a receptacle housing 50. These receptacle contacts 70 for power transmission are brought into contact with plug contacts 30 for power transmission when the plug connector half 1 and the receptacle connector half 5 are intermated. On the other hand, the receptacle connector half 9 without any power transmission contacts is provided with accommodation spaces 57 in a receptacle housing 50'. These accommodation spaces accommodate said plug contacts 30 for power transmission when the plug connector half 1 and the receptacle connector half 9 are intermated.
