The present invention overcomes drawbacks of prior composite sheets consisting of a spun-bonded nonwoven fabric and pulp fibers and provides an inexpensive composite sheet with excellent draping qualities, a nearly fabric-like touch and good usability. Provided is a cast-coated pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet which hardly causes a curling trouble after ink jet recording which comprises a cast-coated recording paper, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer and a release coated paper laminated via the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the side opposite to the recording layer, with the adhesive sheet having a difference between the two characteristic values (A) and (B) within the range of 0.00 to 0.10%, expressed in absolute value, wherein the characteristic value (A) is an irreversible shrinkage factor of the cast-coated recording paper in the CD direction determined under an environment that the relative humidity thereof is raised to 90% from 35% and then lowered to 35% and the characteristic value (B) is a shrinking rate of the release coated paper in the CD direction determined under a condition that the relaltive humidity of the environment is changed from 75% to 60% in the course of lowering the relative humidity from 90% to 35%.

Cast-coated pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet for ink jet recording

Provided is a recording paper having a feeling of plain paper suitable for ink jet recording with water-base ink, with the recording paper having in both machine and cross directions an irreversible shrinkage factor of from -0.10% to +0.10% when it is put under an environment that the relative humidity thereof is changed from 35% to 90% and further changed to 35%.

A magnetic data recording apparatus magnetically records various items of data on a film in accordance with a feed of the film by a PPM Pulse Position Modulation (PPM) recording method. The apparatus includes a PPM signal converting circuit for converting the data to be recorded into a PPM signal and outputting the PPM signal, a magnetic head and a head driving circuit for driving the magnetic head on the PPM signal outputted from the PPM signal converting circuit. The apparatus further includes a data quantity calculating circuit for calculating a quantity of the data to be recorded during a feed of the film. The PPM signal converting circuit determines a change-of-signal position of the PPM signal within one period on the data quantity calculated by the data quantity calculating circuit.

A process for producing coated paper comprises applying an aqueous coating solution onto coating base paper and drying the coating base paper, wherein a steam provided for drying or gas composed mainly of a steam is brought into direct contact with paper sheet, heated for regeneration, and then circulation for re-use, in which owing to the improvements in the heat efficiency and drying rate in the drying step, not only the productivity is improved, but also a high-quality coated paper is stably produced with a good efficiency.
