A feed system has a first electronic unit, a second electronic unit, and a feed unit. The first electronic unit and the feed unit are separated. The feed unit transmits power to a power reception section of the second electronic unit based upon result information of a first authentication between the first electronic unit and the second electronic unit. The feed unit performs a second authentication on the second electronic unit in conjunction with power transmission.

An electronic unit includes an electricity reception section that receives power transmitted using one of a magnetic field or an electric field, a secondary battery that is charged based on a received power received by the electricity reception section, and a state notification section that provides notification to outside as to a state of its own unit. A charging period during which the secondary battery is charged based on the received power and a non-charging period are set in a time-divisional manner. The state notification section notifies of the unit state based on the received power in both of the charging period and the non-charging period.

Reliably informing user of electronic device state during charging

Concentric turns of a wire in the measuring coil are around a common axis. Also around the common axis are concentric turns of a wire in the power receiving coil. At least one of the concentric turns of the wire in the measuring coil is closer to the common axis than each of the concentric turns of the wire in the power receiving coil. A power feeding device receives a control signal from the power receiving device. The control signal instructs the power feeding device to adjust a power level of an electromagnetic wave emission.

A feed unit includes: a power transmission section configured to perform power transmission using a magnetic field or an electric field, to a device to be fed including a secondary battery; and a power-transmission control section configured to control power transmission operation in the power transmission section. A power feeding unit includes an electricity transmission section configured to perform electricity transmission using one of a magnetic field and an electric field to a power-feeding objective unit having a secondary battery, and an electricity transmission control section configured to control electricity transmission operation of the electricity transmission section. The electricity transmission control section allows the electricity transmission operation to be suspended when charge of the secondary battery is completed based on power provided through the electricity transmission, and allows the electricity transmission operation to be restarted when a predetermined condition is satisfied after completion of the charge.

A feed unit includes: a power transmission section configured to perform power transmission with use of a magnetic field or an electronic field; a power limiting section provided on a power supply line from an external power source to the power transmission section; and an operation stop section configured to forcibly stop the power transmission. The power limiting section forcibly interrupts power supply to the power transmission section when the voltage between the input and the output exceeds a second threshold that is larger than the first threshold.

Disclosed herein is a power feeding device including: power transmitting section which transmits electric power by way of a magnetic field; a set of first and second electrodes which are spaced from each other; a power supply which applies a voltage between the first and second electrodes; and a detector which detects whether foreign matter is present on the power transmitting section or not based on the voltage applied by the power supply.
