The present technology relates to an optical apparatus and an information processing method capable of more easily obtaining an indicator value. In the optical apparatus according to the present technology, irradiation light including a predetermined irradiation wavelength band is emitted, first reflected light being a reflected light in a first wavelength band obtained by reflection of the emitted irradiation light on a predetermined object and second reflected light being reflected light in a second wavelength band obtained by reflection of the irradiation light on the object are received at a plurality of pixels; and a value of a predetermined indicator relating to a region in a predetermined range of the object is obtained on the basis of a received light amount of each of the received first reflected light and the received second reflected light. For example, the present technology can be applied to optical apparatuses, electronic apparatuses, imaging apparatuses, and information processing apparatuses.

Optical apparatus and information processing method

An imaging apparatus and method for multi-spectral imaging is described. The imaging apparatus includes an imaging element that takes an image of a subject, a multi-spectral filter that has a plurality of spectral filters dispersing incident light on the imaging element by predetermined wavelength regions, and a drive unit that drives the multi-spectral filter without stopping the individual spectral filters and continuously switches the spectral filters to cover an opening in the imaging element. The imaging apparatus detects whether a boundary between adjacent ones of the plurality of spectral filters included in the multi-spectral filter is in a position to block the opening in the imaging element, and performs signal processing for invalidating an image output from the imaging element in a period in which it is detected that the boundary between the spectral filters is in the position to block the opening in the imaging element.

Imaging apparatus and imaging method

The present disclosure relates to an imaging apparatus, an iris device, an imaging method, and a program that are capable of performing multispectral imaging in a small mechanism. The imaging apparatus includes: an image sensor that captures an image of a subject; an optical system that forms an image on the image sensor with light from the subject; and an iris mechanism that restricts the amount of light passing through the optical system. The iris mechanism includes aperture blades that adjust a size of an aperture causing the light from the subject to pass through the aperture, and an optical filter that is provided to at least one of the aperture blades and transmits light having a predetermined wavelength. The aperture blades are driven to positions where the aperture has a predetermined size, in a state where the optical filter provided to the at least one of the aperture blades is hidden by one of the aperture blades other than the aperture blade of the optical filter. The aperture blades provided with predetermined optical filters are driven such that the predetermined optical filters sequentially cover the aperture at predetermined timings. The present technology can be applied to, for example, an imaging apparatus including an iris mechanism.

Provided is a light condensing unit including a reflection member having a hollow dome shape a side wall of which is curved to be extended from a top portion toward a bottom portion, the reflection member having a mirror-finished inner surface, and a plurality of light irradiation members arranged around an outer wall of the reflection member and configured to irradiate an irradiation region of the top portion with light through a first opening portion formed in the outer wall. The reflection member includes a second opening portion formed in the irradiation region of the top portion, and a third opening portion formed in the bottom portion to face a light receiving lens of a light receiving unit, the light receiving unit being configured to perform a predetermined process on received light.

There is provided a measuring apparatus, including a light receiving element, provided at a position facing a measurement object region on which is placed a measurement object, which forms an image with light from the measurement object region, light emitting elements, arranged surrounding the light receiving element, which emit light for measuring the measurement object, and reflective optical elements, provided above the light emitting elements, which guide, to the measurement object region, emission light radiated from the light emitting elements. A light receiving surface of the light receiving element and light emission surfaces of the light emitting elements are positioned mutually on a same plane. The emission light radiated from the light emitting elements is reflected by the reflective optical elements, and center lines of the emission light radiated from each of the light emitting elements pass through an approximate center of the measurement object region.

There is provided an input device including a plurality of electrodes that are arranged on a surface of a body in a direction crossing a muscular fiber group of the body at a right angle, and detect electromyogram signals generated from the muscular fiber group according to a motion performed by the body; a switch unit that switches an electrode acquiring an electromyogram signal between the plurality of electrodes; and a control unit that selects an electrode detecting an electromyogram signal for identifying the motion from among the plurality of electrodes.

In this way, because of the adhesiveness of the coating member (), it is easy to stick the cable onto a wall () or the like. Moreover, since a wiring construction of the cable on a surface of the wall () or the like without using a clamp, screw or nail is made possible, only the cable is exposed on the surface of the wall () or the like and the appearance thereof is improved.

Data transmission cable

An apparatus/system and a method for optical fiber two-way communication, which enables highly reliable transmission at all times in order to carry out communication at a high transmission speed when an optical fiber or a combination of optical fibers not assumed are used. A signal is transmitted with a predetermined pattern corresponding to each of a plurality of different signal transmission speeds from the signal transmitter of a first terminal to the signal receiver of a second terminal. It is then compared by the signal receiver of the second terminal with a signal of the predetermined pattern. A signal transmission speed is detected which enables transmission and reception on the basis of a signal position where the signal received by the signal receiver of the second terminal and the signal of the predetermined pattern do not coincide with each other.

An optical communication apparatus is connected to the other communication apparatus by an optical fiber. The optical fiber cable comprises conducting wires. By interconnecting an output-side conducting circuit provided to the optical communication apparatus and an input-side conducting circuit provided to the other communication apparatus, a detection circuit is constituted. The optical communication apparatus comprises a monitor for monitoring a state of conduction of the detection circuit and an output control portion for controlling a laser diode. When the optical fiber cable is extracted from the optical communication apparatus, it is extracted from the other communication apparatus, and it is broken, the output-side and input-side conducting circuits are cut off. The monitor monitors a change in the state of conduction. If the monitor detects a change in the state of conduction, the output control portion stops emission of light from the laser diode.

Optical communication system, optical communication apparatus, and optical cable

An optical communication system suitable for full duplex optical communication between a first and a second optical transceiver units. connected with each other by a single-core optical fiber. The first and second transceiver units may have different types of light emitting elements emitting light having different loss rates in the single-core optical fiber. The system enables stable full duplex communication without setting up large scale or costly transmission units by relatively reducing the optical crosstalk involved. The first optical transceiver unit provides transmission light to be coupled with the single-core optical fiber with the intensity in the range of TAmin&#x2013;TAmax. The amount of light emitted from the light emitting element of the optical transceiver unit to be coupled with the single-core optical fiber is in the range TBmin&#x2013;TBmax, which amount may be adjusted by a light emission adjusting unit provided in the optical transceiver unit.

Optical communication system

Light emitted from a light-emitting element is reflected by a beam splitter and made incident upon an optical fiber, while light launched from the optical fiber passes through the beam splitter and is made incident upon a light-receiving element. A lens is provided to focus the light emitted from the light-emitting element to an end face of the optical fiber and also the light launched, as diffused, from the optical fiber. Further, an optical plate is provided to form a reflecting surface on the upstream side of the end face of the optical fiber.

An optical transmitter receiver is provided in which the power of light to be transmitted therefrom is set to a proper value by controlling the relative timing of changing the power of light to be transmitted therefrom. An optical transmitter receiver consists of an optical transmitter, an optical receiver, a signal level detector, and a signal level controller. The optical transmitter transmits a light signal to a mate optical transmitter receiver. The optical receiver receives a light signal from the mate optical transmitter receiver. The signal level detector detects the level of the light signal received by the optical receiver. The signal level controller changes the power of the light signal to be transmitted by the optical transmitter from one value to another according to the signal level detected by the signal level detector. The optical transmitter receiver further includes a delay device for delaying changing of the power of a light signal to be transmitted which is performed by the signal level controller.
