A hair removal tool is equipped with: a drive unit for driving a blade; a load detection unit for detecting the size of the load on the drive unit; and a control unit for changing the drive mode of the drive unit between a first drive mode for driving the drive unit at a first drive speed, a second drive mode for driving the drive unit at a second drive speed which is faster than the first drive speed, and a transition mode for driving the drive unit at a transition speed which is faster than the second drive speed. A first interval is set as the interval from when the drive mode is changed from the first drive mode to the transition mode until when the drive mode is changed from the transition mode to the second drive mode. A second interval is set as the interval from when the drive mode is changed from the transition mode to the second drive mode until when the drive mode is changed from the second drive mode to the first drive mode. The first interval is shorter than the second interval.

An infra-red reflective material is a perovskite-like multiple oxide which includes at least an alkaline-earth metal and at least one type of element selected from a group of titanium, zirconium and niobium, and further, if necessary, manganese and/or iron, an element belonging to the IIIa group of the periodic table such as aluminum and gallium, etc., or zinc, etc., has sufficient infra-red reflective power, is excellent in thermal stability and heat resistance, and does not raise concerns on safety and environmental issues. The infra-red reflective material can be produced by, for example, mixing an alkaline-earth metal compound and a titanium compound and further, if necessary, a manganese compound and/or an iron compound, a compound belonging to the IIIa group of the periodic table, or a zinc compound in predetermined amounts, and firing the mixture. The produced multiple oxide is powdery and can be mixed with paint or a resin composition so as to be used for various purposes such as painting a roof or an outside wall of a building, a road, or a foot path in order to reduce the heat island phenomenon.

A reciprocating electric shaver includes: a rotary motor; a pair of driving elements to which inner blades are individually attached; and a conversion mechanism coupled to the rotary motor and the corresponding driving element to convert rotating motion of the rotary motor to reciprocating motion of the pair of driving elements. Each driving element and coupling members coupled to the driving elements constitute driving blocks. The driving blocks include balance adjusters provided on the opposite sides of a rotation axis of the rotary motor from the driving elements included in the driving blocks, respectively.

A gap between a main body grip portion and a head portion is reduced while securing a tiltable range of the head portion with respect to the main body grip portion. A hair cutting device includes the head portion provided at its upper end surface with a blade head, and the main body grip portion which supports the head portion such that the head portion can vertically float and tilt. A lower portion of the head portion is accommodated in an opened space formed in an upper portion of the main body grip portion, the head portion includes a neck portion whose lower side width in the tilting direction is wider than an upper side width, the neck portion is located at a portion of an opening formed in an upper end surface of the main body grip portion.

An engaging structure of an electric shaver and an electric charger is provided wherein the electric charger at least serving to charge the electric shaver is mounted thereat. The engaging structure includes a magnet provided at one of the electric shaver or the electric charger; and an attracting member provided at the other thereof, the attracting member being made of a material magnetically attracted to the magnet. Further, a contact portions for electrically connecting the electric shaver and the electric charger are provided between a weight center of the electric shaver and the magnet disposed above the contact point at an opposite side of a mounting direction of the electric shaver.

The invention further provides a titanium oxide photocatalyst comprising titanium oxide particles which are treated with a mineral acid and which have part or the whole of an iron compound contained therein and supported thereon. The invention still further provides a process for producing the titanium oxide photocatalyst. Utilizing the excellent photocatalytic property, materials which exert or may exert a harmful influence upon human bodies or living environment, such as organic halogen compounds, malodorous gases, oils, bacteria, fungi and algae can be rapidly and effectively removed.
