A patient terminal can communicate with doctor terminals and a center terminal via a communication network. The patient terminal acquires vital data from a measuring device with a receiving unit. A control unit determines whether the vital data contains an abnormal value and the necessity of messaging depending on the presence or absence of a manual messaging request with a message button and selects the doctor terminal or the center terminal. When it is determined that messaging is necessary, the control unit makes a communication unit call the selected terminal.

A medical equipment management apparatus for managing a medical equipment provided in a medical facility connected to the apparatus through a network. The apparatus comprises a reception unit, a storage unit, a prediction unit, a determination unit, and an informing unit. The reception unit is configured to receive a parameter data regarding the medical equipment more than once. The storage unit is configured to store the parameter data, and the prediction unit is configured to calculate an expectancy of the parameter data to be received in the future based on the stored parameter data. Further, the determination unit is configured to determine a level of the expectancy, and the informing unit is configured to give a notice to the medical facility through the network according to the determined level.

A detector having a collimator in a position at a specific angle with respect to a therapeutic X-ray beam is mounted to selectively detect only scattering radiation in the direction. To three-dimensionally obtain a distribution of places where scattering occurs in a patient body, a detector is rotated during irradiation and scattering radiation is measured from all of directions. After that, a reconstructing process is performed, and a distribution of occurrence of scattering radiation in the subject is three-dimensionally imaged. Since angles and amounts of X-rays scattered by Compton scattering are known theoretically, if scattering radiation at a certain angle can be detected, the number of scattering radiation at other angles can be also estimated. On the basis of the theory, images of distribution of scattering radiation sources are converted to images of distribution of absorption of radiation.
