Tray means for stacking sheets, pickup means for separating and for conveying sheets into a single sheet on the tray means, and sheet conveyance means for conveying a sheet separated by the pickup means to a predetermined processing position are provided. Projecting guide means project from a sheet support surface of the tray means into a notched opening of the sheet is provided; and an oblique surface is formed to prevent a trailing side edge of the opening from catching on a leading side edge of the opening of a lower sheet when feeding an uppermost sheet to the projecting guide means. This makes it possible to feed only the uppermost sheet downstream without an opening edge formed in the uppermost sheet from interfering with an opening edge of a lower sheet.

A laminating apparatus for performing a laminate treatment by sandwiching a laminate object with laminate films, comprising a laminate film containing device for containing laminate films, a sandwiching device for sandwiching a laminate object with the laminate films fed from the laminate film containing device, and a feeding device for feeding the laminate films from the laminate film containing device to the sandwiching device. The laminate film containing device and the feeding device are formed as a unit which is removably mounted on the laminating apparatus.

A sheet binding apparatus includes a support for supporting a set of sheets; a puncher for punching the sets of sheets on the support; binder for binding the sheets by penetrating a ring member through punched holes of the sheets punched by the puncher; a detector for detecting a size of the ring member supported on the binder; a changing device for changing a degree of opening of the ring member in accordance with a size of the ring member; a conveyer for conveying the set of sheets punched by the puncher to the ring member supported on the binder; a second support for supporting the binder for movement between an automatic mode position wherein the binder receives the set of sheets conveyed by the conveyer and a manual mode position wherein the set of sheets can be received without use of the conveyer; a second detector for detecting the manual mode position of the binder and for prohibiting conveyance of the sheets by the conveyer; ring controller for controlling the degree of opening of the ring member during the manual mode; wherein the ring controller opens the ring member to the degree of opening predetermined in accordance with the size of the ring member.

A sheet binding apparatus includes a supporting member for supporting a set of sheets; a punch for punching the set of sheets on the supporting member; a binder for supporting a ring member and for binding the sheets by penetrating the ring member through punched holes of the sheets punched by the punch; a detector for detecting a size of the ring member supported on the binder; a device for changing a punching condition by the punch in accordance with an output of the detector; and a conveyer for conveying the set of sheets punched by the punch to the ring member supported on the binder.
