A control apparatus is provided for a hybrid vehicle including an engine with a supercharger, a blow-by gas treatment device having a ventilation line and a fresh air line, and an electric motor coupled to the engine. In low-temperature environments, transient driving conditions can lead to mixing of outside air and blow-by gas, potentially causing condensation and freezing. To address this, the control apparatus includes a control unit configured to cause the electric motor to perform regenerative operation without decreasing engine output torque when boost pressure falls below a threshold or when accelerator input decreases, under conditions where the outside air temperature is at or below a predetermined level and the boost pressure is positive. This helps maintain a positive boost pressure to prevent reverse flow in the blow-by gas system, supporting effective combustion and drivability while managing energy recovery through regeneration.

Control apparatus for hybrid vehicle

A vehicle includes an engine and an engine start controller. The engine start controller is configured to derive an integrated value while a target driving force derived on a basis of an accelerator operation amount is larger than or equal to a predetermined first threshold value from a time point when the target driving force becomes larger than or equal to the first threshold value, and to start the engine when the integrated value becomes larger than or equal to a predetermined second threshold value. The integrated value is obtained by integrating a difference value between the target driving force and the first threshold value.

A choke valve structure includes an air cleaner body having a suction pipe portion provided on an end wall, a choke valve having a valve body allowed to adhere to a sealing surface formed around an opening, and a movement mechanism configured to move the choke valve along a direction parallel to the sealing surface such that the valve body moves in closing and opening directions. A blowing back prevention plate disposed on an axial line of the suction pipe portion to face the opening is provided integrally with the air cleaner body. A protrusion, allowed to come into contact with the blowing back prevention plate when the valve body moves in the closing direction, is provided on the valve body. The valve body is pressed against the sealing surface to adhere thereto when the protrusion conies into contact with the blowing back prevention plate.

A backpack type blowing apparatus includes an intake pipe that connects an air cleaner fixed to a fan case of an air blower to a carburetor that supplies an evaporated fuel to an engine body, and a top cover fixed to the fan case to cover at least the intake pipe by interposing the intake pipe between the top cover and the fan case. The top cover has a plurality of cover fixing portions fixed to the fan case. An outer circumferential-side fixed portion positioned on an outer circumferential side of the intake pipe in the fan case is included in the plurality of cover fixing portions.

Method of inhibiting methanogenesis

A vibration damping tool having the following structure is provided. In the vibration damping tool, a hollow portion is formed in the interior of the distal end portion of a tool body and one end of a weight member is connected to the inner wall surface of the distal end side of this hollow portion. A gap created between the outer peripheral surface of the weight member and the inner wall surface of the hollow portion is filled with a visco-elastic body. The one end of the weight member is formed as a narrow diameter shaft portion. The tool body can be divided into two and freely removed from and reattached at a dividing surface located on the base end side of the hollow portion. A hole portion is formed inside the other end of the weight member by hollowing out the interior thereof. Chatter vibration is thus absorbed using a simple structure without there being any effects from heat generated during cutting processing.

Vibration damping tool

The invention provides a method of supplying dissolved carbon dioxide to plants in an aqueous medium characterized by electrolyzing the water in the aqueous medium by electrodes disposed in the aqueous medium and supplied with electric current. At least one of the electrodes is a carbon electrode which acts as a positive electrode. The current density is supplied to the electrodes at or below the level at which no, or substantially no, gaseous oxygen is formed at the positive carbon electrode.

Method of supplying dissolved carbon dioxide to plants in an aqueous medium

A boring tool includes a concave groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of a tool body on the side opposite from a cutting blade with respect to an axis of the tool body. The concave, groove 10 is formed so as to extend from a position x, which is separated rearwardly from a front end face of a head portion, toward the rear side, and to be open downward from above a rake face. Furthermore, a sub-groove is formed between the concave groove and a chip pocket. Accordingly, the natural frequency is increased by reducing the weight of the head portion while limiting rigidity reduction, thereby restricting chattering.

Boring tool

An autoclave (1) is provided with an internal table (1) upon which articles to be sterilised can be placed. The autoclave is provided with a mechanism (2, 3, 5) for shaking or vibrating the table, and thereby shaking or vibrating the liquid undergoing sterilization, resulting in a more even temperature distribution within the liquid, thereby reducing the length of time for sterilization and reducing the occurrence of flash evaporation of the culture medium. The shaking or vibration may, for example, be induced by a shaft (2) which passes sealingly through a wall of the autoclave or may be induced by a number of magnets (41) located on a ring (38) around the autoclave which magnetically attract associated magnets (35) on the table within the autoclave.

Autoclave

The present invention provides a carbon dioxide-generating electrode apparatus made up of a carbon anode, the upper end part thereof being fixed to a terminal part, and a cathode disposed in a non-contacting relationship so as to face the carbon anode, characterized in that the distance between the carbon anode and the cathode is broadened relatively and continuously from the lower part toward the upper part. The distances between the carbon anode and the cathode are set to be an equal distance at positions on the same horizontal cross section, and the difference (W.sub.1 -W.sub.2) between a distance (W.sub.1) between the side face at the upper end part of the carbon anode and the inner face of the cathode from a distance (W.sub.2) between the side face at the lower end part of the carbon anode and the inner face of the cathode is preferably set to a range of 1.0 to 5.0 mm. A carbon dioxide-generating electrode apparatus according to the present invention provides the stable generation of carbon dioxide over a long period of time by an electrolytic operation with a fixed current.

Carbon dioxide-generating electrode apparatus

In an apparatus for detecting the surface of a liquid or foam, for example in a fermentation vessel a detector electrode (10) is surrounded at its lower end by a protective shroud (12) so as to protect a confined vapor space (14) surrounding the detector electrode. The vapor in the space (14) is maintained at a relatively low humidity either by heating the detector electrode or some other part of the apparatus or by purging the space (14) with a relatively dry air or gas. It is thereby ensured that no condensation onto the O-ring seal (20) and surrounding parts takes place. The shroud (12) also protects the parts from splashing.

Detection of the surface of a liquid or foam including moisture

A carbon dioxide sensor for measuring dissolved carbon dioxide or carbon dioxide in gas is sterilizable with steam under pressure at a temperature of 120-130 degrees Celsius. The sensor comprises an outer tube having on its one end a gas-permeable membrane and a pH electrode disposed in the outer tube and supporting a spacer of poor hydrophobicity positioned between the distal end of the electrode and the membrane. For measurement of carbon dioxide, a liquid containing sodium bicarbonate is poured into the outer tube to form a layer of electrolyte at the spacer, and the outer tube is mounted on a fermentor. The pH electrode can be removed from the outer tube which is attached to the fermentor, and a membrane protecting rod can be inserted into the outer tube for sterilization of the membrane. The gas-permeable membrane can easily be replaced.
