A fuel pressure control system has a fuel pressure regulator having a reference chamber and a fuel chamber separated by a diaphragm which opens and close a fuel return passage in accordance with a pressure difference between both chambers. There are provided an accumulator for containing an air pressurized by a supercharger, and a temperature sensor for sensing a temperature of the fuel. A control unit normally puts a three-way electromagnetic fuel pressure control valve in a first position to introduce an intake manifold vacuum into the reference chamber. When the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor is higher than a predetermined value, the control unit puts the valve in a second position to introduce a high pressure air in the accumulator into the reference chamber to prevent vapor lock by increasing the fuel pressure.

Fuel pressure control system for internal combustion engine

A fuel pump control system controls the operating speed of the fuel pump to control the fuel pressure in a fuel supply circuit for a internal combustion engine. The control system includes a main control circuit constantly connecting a fuel pump driver to a vehicle battery which acts as a power source and a normally-open auxiliary circuit. The main control circuit adjusts the power supply to the fuel pump driver to adjust the operating speed of the fuel pump to either a first maximum or a second minimum speed. The auxiliary circuit establishes electrical communication between the fuel pump driver and the battery when a demand for increasing of the fuel pressure in the supply line and thus for enrichment of the air/fuel mixture beyond a predetermined value is detected on the basis of one or more preselected engine operating parameters.

Control system for fuel pump for internal combustion engine

In a V-type internal combustion engine, an auxiliary air supply apparatus includes an auxiliary air distribution pipe which communicates directly to two or more mutually independent chambers in the intake system of the engine. This auxiliary air distribution pipe is connected and communicates to an auxiliary air channel so as to bypass an intake throttle valve. In this auxiliary air channel an auxiliary air control valve is installed to control the volume of auxiliary air flowing through the channel, according to the operating condition of the engine. Because of this, the auxiliary air controlled by the control valve is directly distributed to two or more chambers through the auxiliary air distribution pipes.
