Active matrix substrate and display panel

An active matrix substrate includes a plurality of signal lines, each of which includes first and second line portions and an inner connection portion (connection portion) that connects the first and second line portions. The first and second line portions of one of two adjacent signal lines are made of first and second conductive layers, respectively, and the first and second line portions of the other of the two adjacent signal lines are made of second and first conductive layers, respectively. The position of the connection portion of each of the signal lines is determined in accordance with the layout position of that signal line in the line region.

A wiring substrate includes an insulating base that has a plate surface; a first circuit that is provided on the plate surface; a first terminal that is provided on the plate surface, and to which a mounting member is attached; a second terminal that is provided on the plate surface; a first wiring that connects the first circuit and the first terminal to each other; and a second wiring that connects the first terminal and the second terminal to each other, is electrically connected to the first wiring in the first terminal, and has a parallel section in which the second wiring is disposed close to and parallel to the first wiring without being electrically connected to the first wiring outside the first terminal.

Wiring substrate and display panel

A display device includes a first member, a second member, image signal lines, signal sources, synchronization line terminals, and synchronization lines. The first member includes a display area. The second member includes a plate surface greater than the plate surface of the first member and a display area. The second member includes a covered portion covered with the first member and an uncovered portion not covered with the first member. The image signal lines are disposed in the covered portion. The signal sources are mounted to signal source mounting areas of the uncovered portion. The synchronization line terminals are disposed in the signal source mounting areas and coupled to the signal sources. The synchronization lines are disposed in the covered portion and the uncovered portion and coupled to the synchronization line terminals. Some of the synchronization lines cross a border between the covered portion and the uncovered portion.

Display device including synchronization lines

An active matrix substrate includes multiple data signal line connection wires that are disposed near a first end portion and multiple divided common electrode wire connection wires that are disposed near a second end portion. A distance between end portions of the multiple data signal line connection wires facing multiple data signal terminals is shorter than a distance between end portions of the multiple data signal line connection wires facing a pixel region. A distance between end portions of the multiple divided common electrode wire connection wires facing divided common electrode terminals is shorter than a distance between end portions of the multiple divided common electrode wire connection wires facing the pixel region.

A display panel includes: a first substrate having a display area and a non-display area outside the display area, the display area having an imaginary corner, the first substrate having a first corner corresponding to the imaginary corner; and a second substrate including a first portion opposite a main face of the first substrate and a second portion extending out of the first substrate, the second substrate having a second corner corresponding to the imaginary corner, wherein the first corner is either chamfered or rounded.

Display panel

An active matrix substrate includes: a substrate; pixel electrodes in a matrix; switching elements; common electrodes; a terminal group including first terminals and second terminals and having a length in the row direction smaller than a length of a region of the switching elements in the row direction and a region of the common electrodes in the row direction; switching element wires; and common electrode wires. The terminal group is disposed at an end of the substrate in the column direction. The terminal group includes: a center terminal group in the middle of the terminal group and including the first terminals arranged in the row direction; and end terminal groups at either end of the terminal group and including the first terminals and the second terminals in the row direction. Each of the second terminals is between the first terminals adjacent to each other in the row direction.
