A position detection device detects a position of a moving member moving backward and forward in a predetermined moving direction. The position detection device includes an exciting coil disposed along the moving member and extending in the moving direction, a detection coil that outputs a voltage corresponding to a position of a detection target portion moving with the moving member by means of a magnetic field generated by the exciting coil within a predetermined detection range in the moving direction, and a calculation unit that calculates the position of the moving member by the output voltage of the detection coil. The detection coil includes a pair of coil elements whose output voltage changes according to the position of the moving member, and phases of the output voltages of the pair of coil elements during movement of the moving member within the detection range differ from each other.

A coupling capacitance estimation method includes arranging numerous input electrodes to respectively face first exposed end portions of numerous insulated wires exposed at one end of a multicore cable, arranging numerous output electrodes to respectively face second exposed end portions of the numerous insulated wires exposed at another end of the multicore cable, performing measurement of a voltage value of a measurement output signal that is output by capacitive coupling from the second exposed end portion through the output electrode when a measurement input signal is input by capacitive coupling from the input electrode to the first exposed end portion, with a plurality of predetermined different combinations of the input electrodes to input the measurement input signal and the output electrodes to output the measurement output signal, and based on the measured voltage values of a plurality of the measurement output signals, estimating respective coupling capacitances.

Coupling capacitance estimation method, method for identifying corresponding ends of multicore cable, and method for manufacturing multicore cable assembly

A stroke sensor is provided with two disk-shaped rotors configured to rotate with a stroke of a measuring object, a rotation detecting unit that detects rotations of the two rotors, respectively, and a stroke position detecting unit that detects the stroke position of the measuring object based on the rotations of the two rotors detected by the rotation detecting unit. At least one of the two rotors is in direct contact with the measuring object. The two rotors are provided side by side in an arrangement direction perpendicular to an axial direction of the measuring object and are provided so as to be adjacent to the measuring object in an arrangement perpendicular direction perpendicular to the axial direction and the arrangement direction. Each of the two rotors is provided in such a manner that its rotation axis direction is inclined with respect to the arrangement direction.

Stroke sensor

A position detection device configured to detect a position of a moving member that moves back and forth in a predetermined moving direction is provided with an exciting coil arranged to extend in the moving direction along the moving member, and a detection coil that, by an action of a magnetic field generated by the exciting coil, can detect a position, in the moving direction, of a detection object portion provided on the moving member within a predetermined detection range. A plurality of the detection coils are arranged side by side in a direction perpendicular to an extending direction of the exciting coil. A plurality of the detection object portions are provided at different positions in the moving direction so as to respectively correspond to the plurality of the detection coils, and the respective detection ranges of the plurality of the detection coils are offset in the moving direction of the moving member.

A position detection device for detecting a position of a shaft moving forward and backward in an axial direction is provided with a detection object attached to the shaft, an excitation coil for generating an alternating magnetic field, and a detection coil arranged along an axial direction of the shaft. A magnitude of a voltage induced in the detection coil varies in accordance with a position of the detection object.

A multicore cable inspection method of specifying a correspondence relationship among ends of insulated electric wires exposed from both ends of a multicore cable, the method including: inputting, by capacitance coupling, an inspection signal to the end of the insulated wire to be inspected among the ends of the insulated wires exposed at the one end of the multicore cable; inputting, by the capacitive coupling, each of first and second signals, each of which has a phase different from the inspection signal, to the ends of the two insulated wires other than the insulated wire to be inspected; measuring a voltage of an output signal outputted from the capacitive coupling from each end of the insulated wires exposed at the other end of the multicore cable; and specifying the other-side end of the insulated wire to be inspected. At this time, an amplitude of a signal obtained by adding the inspection signal and the first and second signals is smaller than that of the inspection signal.
