A placement tray, which is displaceable to a closed state and an open state with respect to a device main body, has a placement surfaceon which a medium is placed, edge guidesthat restrict side edges of the medium to be placed, and a link memberthat supports the placement tray in the open state. The edge guide has a movable sectionthat pivotably switches between a non-use posture in which it reclines along the placement surface and a use posture in which it is upright against the placement surface, and an operation sectionthat is fixed in posture against the placement surface and is operated. At least a part of the operation section is provided at a position that overlaps the movable section and does not overlap the link member as viewed from the width direction that intersects the transport direction F of the medium.

A projector includes: an exterior case having plurality of penetration holes; first base member fixed inside the exterior case and made of metal or crystalline resin; illumination unit fixed to first base member; image forming unit fixed to first base member; optical projection unit coupled to image forming unit; and second base member fixed inside exterior case and coupled to first base member, and having lower rigidity than first base member. Projector device

A projector includes a projection optical apparatus that projects an image and a projection position adjustment apparatus that moves the projection optical apparatus in orthogonal directions orthogonal to a central axis of the projection optical apparatus. The projection position adjustment apparatus includes a first movable member that supports the projection optical apparatus, a support member that supports the first movable member movably in the orthogonal directions, and a first transmission unit that moves in the orthogonal directions with the first transmission unit engaging with the first movable member to move the first movable member in the orthogonal directions. The first transmission unit is disposed in a position where the first transmission unit overlaps with part of the first movable member when the projection position adjustment apparatus is viewed along the central axis of the projection optical apparatus.

A projector includes an optical element and a cooling device configured to supply cooling air along the surface of the optical element. The cooling device supplies the cooling air in two supply directions crossing each other and extending from one edge to the other edge of two opposed edges of the optical element.

A projector includes: a plurality of light modulating devices; a light combining optical device having a plurality of light incidence planes that faced a corresponding one of the light modulating devices, the light combining optical device configured to combine the color lights modulated by the plurality of light modulating devices; and fixing members each having a plate-like base in which an opening is formed, the fixing members configured to fix the light modulating devices to the light combining optical device, the light modulating devices are fixed to the fixing members in a state in which the light modulating devices are inserted in the openings.

A projector includes: a cooling device which supplies cooling air to a cooling target, wherein the cooling device includes a plurality of cooling fans each of which discharges cooling air, and a plurality of ducts each one end of which is connected with the corresponding one of the plural cooling fans to introduce the cooling air toward the cooling target in directions different from each other, and the plural ducts communicate with each other at the other end and have an outlet port through which the cooling air flows out.

The disclosure refers to an electronic device and methods for cooling an object within the electronic device. In one example, an electronic device includes a cooling fan for cooling an object. An air-quantity measuring device measures a quantity of cooling air sent by the cooling fan. An ambient-temperature measuring device measures an ambient temperature around the electronic device. A control unit is configured to control the electronic device. The control unit includes an object-temperature calculating section configured to calculate a temperature of the object from the measured air quantity and the measured ambient temperature. An operation control section is configured to control the cooling fan according to the calculated temperature of the object.

The air circulating unit includes barrier portions that extend to cross a circulation direction of the air at a front stage side of the circulation direction of the air, and an exhaust port that discharges inner air to the outside and is formed at a rear stage side of the circulating direction of the air, and the wind velocity measuring unit measures a wind velocity of the air between the barrier portions and the exhaust port in the air circulating unit.
