A stretchable structure of an absorbent article has a first sheet layer of a nonwoven fabric; a second sheet layer of a nonwoven fabric and opposed to one side of the first sheet layer. A plurality of elongated elastically stretchable members are provided along the stretchable direction at intervals from each other between the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer have sheet bonded portions bonded via a hot melt adhesive disposed in a striped pattern that is intermittent in the longitudinal direction of the elastically stretchable members and continuously elongated in the direction intersecting with the elastically stretchable members. One of the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer is a spunbond nonwoven fabric, and the other sheet layer is an air-through nonwoven fabric whose surface on the spunbond nonwoven fabric side is a fluffy surface.

Stretchable structure of absorbent article and manufacturing method of the same

A stretchable structure of an absorbent article has a first sheet layer made of a nonwoven fabric; a second sheet layer made of a nonwoven fabric and opposed to one side surface of the first sheet layer; and a plurality of elongated elastically stretchable members provided along the stretchable direction at intervals from each other between the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer. The first sheet layer and the second sheet layer have sheet bonded portions bonded via a hot melt adhesive disposed in a striped pattern that is intermittent in the longitudinal direction of the elastically stretchable members and continuously elongated in the direction intersecting with the elastically stretchable members, and either one of the first sheet layer and the second sheet layer is made of a low-adhesion nonwoven fabric having lower peel strength with respect to the hot melt adhesive than the other sheet layer.

An absorbent article includes an absorber including cells, each of which is surrounded by bonded portions of a front surface side sheet and a back surface side sheet and in each of which the front surface side sheet and the back surface side seat are not bonded, and including superabsorbent polymer particles contained in each of the cells. The bonded portions are arranged in dotted line shapes according to a pattern in which same-sized octagonal portions having all interior angles of 135&#xb0;, and having two pairs of opposite sides whose facing directions are mutually orthogonal are equal in length, and diamond-shaped portions each having equal length of all sides and being formed in portions among the octagonal portions, are arranged without any space in the front-back direction (LD) or the width direction (WD).

Absorbent article with strong and weak bonded portions

An absorbent article includes an absorber having a front surface side sheet, a back surface side sheet disposed on the back surface side of the front surface side sheet, cells each of which is surrounded by bonded portions of the front surface side sheet and the back surface side sheet and inside each of which the front surface side sheet and the back surface side sheet are not bonded, and particulate materials which include superabsorbent polymer particles and which are contained in each of the cells. The bonded portions are arranged in continuous line shapes or dotted line shapes so as to form same-sized regular hexagons, which connect each other as unit shapes to be a honeycomb shape. All the cells are the same-sized regular hexagonal cells each of which is surrounded by the bonded portions.
