A circuit board is a circuit board on which a predetermined circuit unit that causes heat and electromagnetic noise is disposed, and which is to be fixed to a conductive housing with a conductive screw. The circuit board includes: an insulator layer including an insulating plate-shaped base material; a conductor layer having a circuit pattern including a ground portion, which is disposed on at least one surface of the insulator layer; and a screw insertion hole that penetrates the insulator layer and the ground portion, and through which the conductive screw is to be inserted. The ground portion has a slit disposed between the screw insertion hole and the predetermined circuit unit. The ground portion has a ground bridge that electrically connects a portion of the ground portion between the slit and the screw insertion hole and a portion of the ground portion between the slit and the predetermined circuit unit.

A plasma display panel has a first substrate, plural pairs of display electrodes, a second substrate, and plural data electrodes. Each pair of the display electrodes is made up of a scanning electrode and a sustain electrode which are arranged parallel to each other on the first substrate. The second substrate is disposed opposite to the first substrate. A discharge space is formed between the first substrate and second substrate. The data electrodes are arranged in a direction perpendicular to the display electrodes on the second substrate. The data electrode is wider in peripheral portion of the second substrate than in a central portion of the second substrate.

A plurality of subfields of a field period includes a subfield for performing an every-cell initialization causing an initial discharge in every discharge cell in an initialization period, and includes a subfield for performing a selective initialization causing the initial discharge in a predetermined discharge cell in the initialization period. In a low-luminance subfield, the every-cell initialization is performed, and a low-luminance subfield is subsequently located (in the field period) to the subfield for the every-cell initialization. In a sustain period of the subfield for performing the every-cell initialization or a sustain period of the low-luminance subfield, a width of a first sustain pulse is set wider than a width of a second sustain pulse, and the width of the second sustain pulse is set wider than the width of a third sustain pulse and subsequent others.

A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided. The plasma display device has a panel having a plurality of discharge cells including a display electrode pair that is formed of a scan electrode and a sustain electrode, and a temperature detecting circuit for detecting the ambient temperature of the panel and outputting the detected temperature. In the driving method, an unusual charge erasing period when a rectangular waveform voltage is applied to the scan electrode is disposed between the initializing period and address period of at least one of a plurality of subfields, and the number of subfields having the unusual charge erasing period is controlled based on the detected temperature detected by the temperature detecting circuit.
