The present invention provides a control device that controls a suspension mechanism of a straddle type vehicle, comprising: a wheel speed sensor configured to detect a wheel speed of the straddle type vehicle; an estimation unit configured to estimate a stroke speed of the suspension mechanism, based on a change in the wheel speed detected by the wheel speed sensor; and a correction unit configured to correct the stroke speed estimated by the estimation unit, in accordance with a circumferential length of a grounding part of a tire changed by turning of the straddle type vehicle.

The present invention provides a control device of a vehicle, comprising: a detector configured to detect acceleration in a front-and-rear direction generated in the vehicle; and an estimation unit configured to calculate a braking force of the entire vehicle and a pitch angle of the vehicle based on the acceleration detected by the detector, and estimate an amount of nose dive of the vehicle during braking of the vehicle based on the calculated braking force of the entire vehicle and the calculated pitch angle of the vehicle.

A saddle-riding type vehicle includes: a vehicle body frame; a swing arm supported in a swingable manner with respect to a pivot frame of the vehicle body frame; and a rear suspension in which a link arm supported by the swing arm and the pivot frame are coupled, and damping is controlled by a hydraulic oil. In addition, the saddle-riding type vehicle includes: a sub-tank provided in the rear suspension and storing the hydraulic oil; and a detection sensor that detects behavior of a vehicle body while traveling. Moreover, in a top view of the saddle-riding type vehicle viewed from above, the sub-tank and the detection sensor are disposed so as to overlap with each other.

A drive unit and a rear cushion overlap each other in a vehicle front view. Since the rear cushion is disposed to overlap the drive unit, the dimension in a vehicle width direction can be made smaller than that in the case where the cushion is disposed on the vehicle width center side of the drive unit.

A strut suspension is disposed on a vehicle front side of a rotation center of a front wheel. A rack and pinion mechanism is disposed on a vehicle front side of the strut suspension. Since the strut suspension and the rack and pinion mechanism are disposed on the vehicle front side of the rotation center of the front wheel, a foot space can be moved forward to a position where the foot space overlaps the front wheel. A vehicle cabin space can be thereby increased.

Vehicle having compact configuration

In an electric vehicle, a bearing supporting portion supporting another end of a motor shaft is provided in a reducer case and protrudes to a recessed portion while extending at a lateral side of the knuckle. The reducer case being part of a drive unit is partially housed in the recessed portion of a wheel. The drive unit can be located closer to a rear wheel by an amount corresponding to the housed portion. Accordingly, it is possible to dispose part of the drive unit inside the wheel and thereby suppress protruding of the drive unit to a small degree.

In a front cowling which includes a screen unit which is mounted on a front portion of a vehicle body and has a screen, an air introducing opening is formed in a front portion of the screen unit and opens forwardly. An air blow-off opening is formed in an upper portion of the screen unit that opens upwardly. An air duct allows the screen unit and the air blow-off opening to communicate with each other. Air discharge ports which open outwardly and to the sides from the vehicle are formed in a side of the air duct.
