A transmission line having a slot line with a slot formed on a front surface electrode on a dielectric substrate, and two such slot lines are positioned with the front surface electrodes separated from one another with a gap therebetween. A slot resonator with one end open at the gap side is provided at the front edge side of each slot line, and these slot resonators are positioned so as to be capable of coupling to one another .A slot stub which is branched out from the gap side is provided on each front surface electrode. Thus, leakage of a high-frequency signal in the gap can be suppressed with the slot stub.

Transmission line connecting structure and transmission/reception device

A resonance element arrayis disposed between a primary radiatorand a lens. In the resonance element array, resonance elements of linear conductors and variable reactance circuits are arranged on a dielectric substrate. A control voltage is applied to a fixed variable reactance circuit by a control portion so that a fixed resonance element is excited by an electromagnetic wave from the primary radiatorand the direction of optical path to be collimated by the lensis electronically changed. Thus, an antenna device, in which a beam scanning is speeded, power consumption for the beam scanning is reduced, operation noise in the beam scanning is eliminated, the reliability is increased, and, when required, the beam direction can be directed to any direction, can be obtained. Furthermore, when necessary, the beam radiation pattern can be changed.

A high-frequency circuit device includes a dielectric substrate. A planar conductor is provided on each of top and bottom surfaces of the dielectric substrate and a slot line is formed on the top surface. Also, undesired-wave propagation preventing circuits, each including multistage band-elimination filters, are provided on the top surface of the dielectric substrate, with the slot line therebetween. Each of the band-elimination filters includes two conductive lines and a resonator which is provided at a portion of one of the conductive lines and which includes two spiral lines. Accordingly, propagation of an undesired wave of the band whose center is the resonance frequency of the resonator can be prevented.

High-frequency circuit device and transmitter/receiver

A guide marker includes a substrate and a radio-wave reflecting unit for reflecting radio waves at certain intensity in all directions in a virtual plane, including the incident direction of the radio waves, the radio-wave reflecting unit being provided in the surface of the substrate. The radio-wave reflecting unit includes a concave and convex portions provided in the substrate or radio-wave reflectors which resonate at the frequency of incident radio waves and which reflect the radio waves in the incident direction. The radio-wave reflectors are mounted on the substrate. A visual guide marker device includes one of a light-reflecting component having a reflection characteristic and a light-generating component which self-generates light, and a guide marker including a dielectric material.

In a complex circuit board, the positional relationships between element portions, including an electrode pattern, a dielectric substrate and a magnetic substrate, can be adjusted as desired, and the complex circuit board can be miniaturized. A dielectric resonator includes a slot line constructed by providing a slot electrode having a spiral slot at either an external face of a dielectric layer or inside the dielectric layer and a shielding conductor provided at a predetermined distance from the slot electrode. The slot line is employed as a resonant line so as to provide a dielectric resonator, an inductor, a capacitor, a dielectric filter, an oscillator, and/or a communication device.

A high-frequency circuit device includes a substrate and a high-frequency circuit. The high-frequency circuit is provided on the substrate and has a signal line. The signal line is configured with a slot line provided by electrodes that are arranged side-by-side with a space therebetween on the substrate. The slot line can facilitates circuit design compared to a microstrip line and has significantly low conduction loss compared to a coplanar line, and can improve the Q-value of the high frequency circuit. This can provide an improved high-frequency circuit device having small phase noise. The high-frequency circuit device, which also serves as an oscillator, employs a slot output and thus can provide an advantage of better continuity for a class-B push-pull amplifier that operates more efficiently than a class-A one.

A planar dielectric integrated circuit is provided such that energy conversion loss between a planar dielectric line and electronic components is small and that impedance matching between them can be easily obtained. A planar dielectric line is provided by causing two slots to oppose each other with a dielectric plate interposed in between, a slot line and line-conversion conductor patterns are provided in the end portions of the planar dielectric line, and an FET is disposed in such a manner as to be extended over the slot line.

A radio frequency module includes a multi-chip substrate divided into separate substrates. An antenna block, a duplexer block, a transmitter block, a receiver block, and an oscillator block are formed on the separate substrates. Connection resonators, which are connected to transmission lines, are formed at edges of the separate substrates. The connection resonators on adjacent ones of the separate substrates are arranged close to each other such that the two adjacent resonators are electromagnetically coupled to each other. Thus, the transmission lines on the separate substrates are interconnected, and a signal can be propagated among the blocks.

Electrodes are formed on both top and bottom surfaces of a dielectric plate and grounded coplanar lines, as transmission lines, are formed on the top surface of the dielectric plate. A plurality of micro-strip lines, each composed of high-impedance lines and low-impedance lines alternately connected in series, is arranged at a pitch shorter than the wavelength of a wave traveling along the grounded coplanar lines. A spurious mode propagation blocking circuit thus constructed prevents a spurious mode wave, such as a parallel-plate mode, from traveling.

Electrodes are formed on the upper and under faces of a dielectric plate. For example, plural fundamental patterns having four ports and a quadrangular shape are arranged thereon. A resonator can provide good loss characteristics by effectively suppressing power losses due to an edge effect. In addition, a filter, a duplexer, and a communication device incorporating the resonator are formed. In the resonator, a plurality of spiral lines are disposed on a surface of a dielectric substrate in such a manner that the inner and outer ends of the lines are aligned respectively along an inner periphery and an outer periphery which are centered around a central point on the substrate so that the lines do not cross each other. With this arrangement, the edge effect in the spiral lines is substantially canceled, by which power losses due to the edge effect can be effectively suppressed.
