The energization control apparatus can select a supercharging mode in which the energization control apparatus controls energization to an electric compressor so as to rotate the electric compressor to supercharge an intake air and an electric power consumption mode in which the energization control apparatus controls the energization to the electric compressor so as to deteriorate efficiency of a motor of the electric compressor than the supercharging mode to increase electric power consumption of the electric compressor. The energization control apparatus supplies regenerated electric power to the electric compressor and control the energization to the electric compressor with the electric power consumption mode when regenerative braking is performed by a generator and regenerated electric power for obtaining demand regenerative braking force is more than an input limiting level of a battery.

Hybrid vehicle

The control apparatus closes the throttle, opens the bypass valve and supplies electric power to the electric compressor in a case where the remaining battery power of the battery is larger than the reference level when regenerative braking is performed with the first motor generator. The electric compressor is provided on the intake passage upstream of the throttle. The bypass valve is provided on the bypass passage that bypasses the electric compressor. According to the hybrid vehicle configured as above, regenerative braking force to be required can be obtained by performing electric power regeneration using the generator even when there is a constraint on regenerated electric power that the battery can accept.

Engine cooling system and operation method of the engine cooling system

An engine cooling system including a refrigerant circulation flow channel passing through an engine, an electric refrigerant pump, an electromagnetic valve arranged in the refrigerant circulation flow channel, and a control unit. In the engine cooling system, when the electric refrigerant pump is stopped and the voltage application to the electromagnetic valve is shut off when the electromagnetic valve is closed and the electric refrigerant pump is in operation, the voltage application to the electromagnetic valve is shut off when a first predetermined time period has passed after the electric refrigerant pump is stopped. When the engine is intermittently stopped during warming up of the engine, current application to the electromagnetic valve is shut off while the closed state of the electromagnetic valve is maintained.

Engine cooling system and method for operating the same

A cooling system circulates a cooling medium between an engine and a radiator. The cooling system includes a determination unit. The determination unit sets a relatively small predetermined value for a threshold when a thermostat is closed, and sets a predetermined value larger than the predetermined value for the threshold when the thermostat is open. The determination unit determines that there is a stuck-closed failure in a selector valve when a temperature difference between a coolant temperature from a first coolant temperature sensor and a coolant temperature from a second coolant temperature sensor is larger than or equal to the threshold.

Cooling system for engine

The pore clogging determination apparatus tentatively determines clogging of a pore (micropore) based on the rate of increase in a coolant temperature at an engine outlet. When the presence of pore clogging has been tentatively determined, the apparatus increases a rotation speed of a coolant pump to determine whether or not the coolant pump is idling. When it has been determined that the coolant pump is idling, the apparatus finalizes the determination of the clogging of the pore (micropore). This suppresses an erroneous determination of clogging of the pore that allows the coolant to flow in an engine cooling system.

A cooling water control apparatus controls a cooling apparatus having first pipe which circulates cooling water through an engine; second pipe which circulates cooling water not through the engine; a switching valve whose state is changed between opened and closed states; and a supplying mechanism which supplies cooling water, and has a determining device which determines whether there is failure of the switching valve based on difference between first temperature of cooling water in first pipe and second temperature of cooling water in second pipe after the command for changing the state of the switching valve from closed state to opened state is outputted; and a controlling device which controls the supplying mechanism to supply cooling water even after the engine stops, when the engine stops while the determining device determines whether there is failure of the switching valve.

A multifuel internal combustion engine in which single low boiling point component fuel and at least one kind of fuel having properties different from those of the single low boiling point component fuel are introduced into a combustion chamber CC separately or together thereby operating the multifuel internal combustion engine, includes lubricant-oil temperature detecting unit means (temperature sensor) that detects a temperature of lubricant oil, or lubricant-oil temperature estimating unit means that estimates the temperature, and purge control unit means (electronic control unit) that prohibits purge control by an evaporation gas purge apparatus (evaporation gas passage, check valve, canister, on-off valve) or reduces a purge flow rate of evaporation gas in the purge control, when the detected or estimated temperature of the lubricant oil is near a boiling point temperature of the single low boiling point component fuel at which it is necessary to reduce a fuel injection amount from a fuel injection valve to a predetermined amount or less to adjust an air/fuel ratio of the combustion chamber to a target air/fuel ratio.
