A power transmission apparatus includes a shift drum, a clutch, a clutch lifter, and a transmission body. The shift drum makes a dowel be extracted/inserted between a shifter and a shift gear. The clutch has first friction plates and second friction plates. The first friction plates rotate around a main shaft by receiving power from a crankshaft. The second friction plates are disposed alternately with the first friction plates and are relatively non-rotatably supported by the main shaft. The clutch lifter is displaced between a connection position at which power is transmitted by the clutch and a disconnection position at which the transmission of the power is disconnected. The transmission body transmits a driving force to the shift drum while the clutch lifter moves from the connection position to the disconnection position, in accordance with rotation of a shift spindle that rotates in accordance with a driving force.

Power transmission apparatus

A power unit for a vehicle includes an engine that is a power source, a gear shift apparatus, a twin clutch type transmission that intermittently switches power transmission between the engine and the gear shift apparatus, and a clutch actuator that controls intermittent switching of the twin clutch type transmission, the engine includes a crankcase and a pair of cylinders installed on the crankcase so that a V-bank is formed therebetween, and the clutch actuator is installed on the cylinders so that the clutch actuator overlaps a region of the V-bank.

A fuel injection controlling apparatus includes a fuel cut controlling unit applied to an engine and a transmission to perform a fuel cut control of a fuel injection apparatus upon shifting of the transmission. A shift state detection unit decides a shift state. The fuel cut controlling unit changes a decision threshold value to be used for decision of whether or not the fuel cut control is to be ended in response to the shift state detected by the shift state detection unit. A dog clutch type transmission is configured to select an arbitrary one of a plurality of transmission gear pairs through engagement or disengagement of a dog clutch configured from dowels and dowel holes. The shift state is indicated by a length of a dowel abutment time period for which a state in which the dowels abut with a side wall of a transmission gear upon shifting continues.

A transmission system for optimally re-engaging a shift clutch irrespectively of running conditions of the vehicle. In the transmission system for a vehicle in which a shift clutch is actuated interlockedly with a shift spindle rotationally driven by a shift motor, a target clutch torque for the shift clutch is calculated based on an estimated engine torque derived from an estimated engine torque map which prescribes the relation between engine rotational speed, throttle angle, and estimated engine torque, and a target shift spindle angle is calculated based on a value derived from a target shift spindle angle map which prescribes the relation between the target clutch torque and the target shift spindle angle. A control unit controls the shift motor based on the target shift spindle angle calculated by a target shift spindle angle calculator, at the time of effecting a gear shift of a transmission.
