There is provided a power supply controller including: a monitor voltage generation part configured to generate a monitor voltage according to a primary voltage of a transformer that forms an insulated switching power supply; a sample/hold part configured to sample/hold the monitor voltage and output a feedback voltage; and a controller configured to turn on/off a primary current of the transformer by a fixed on-time method according to the feedback voltage, wherein the sample/hold part samples/holds the primary voltage at a plurality of different timings and outputs one of a plurality of hold values as the feedback voltage.

The present disclosure provides a power supply control device. The power supply control device includes a feedback voltage generator, an on-timing setting unit and an off-timing setting unit. The feedback voltage generator is configured to generate a feedback voltage by sampling a primary voltage of a transformer that forms an insulated switching power supply. The on-timing setting unit is configured to turn on a primary current of the transformer based on a comparison result between the feedback voltage and a slope-shaped reference voltage. The off-timing setting unit is configured to turn off the primary current after a predetermined on time has elapsed since the primary current was turned on. A sampling timing of the primary voltage is set based on an on timing of the primary current.

The power supply control unit includes an on trigger signal generating unit arranged to generate an on trigger signal for turning on the switching element on the basis of a feedback signal of flyback voltage, a first timer arranged to measure a predetermined minimum OFF time, a second timer arranged to measure time based on an ON time, a minimum OFF time setting unit arranged to compare the predetermined minimum OFF time measured by the first timer with the time measured by the second timer so as to set a longer time as a minimum OFF time, and an on timing determining unit arranged to determine timing for turning on the switching element on the basis of the set minimum OFF time and the on trigger signal.

A power supply apparatus comprises: a transformer that includes primary/secondary windings that are electromagnetically connected to each other with polarities opposite to each other, an output switch that activates/inactivates an electric-current route that extends from an application terminal for an input voltage to a ground terminal via the primary winding a rectifying-smoothing portion that generates an output voltage from an induced voltage, a feedback voltage generation portion that monitors a switch voltage appearing at a connection node between the primary winding and the output switch and generates a feedback voltage in accordance with the output voltage, a reference voltage generation portion that generates a reference voltage, a comparator that compares the feedback voltage and the reference voltage with each other to generate a comparison signal, and a switching control portion that generates an output switch control signal by means of an on-time control method in accordance with the comparison signal.
