A double-chamber tank comprising; a first storage tank and a second storage tank, which are partitioned by a partitioning wall integrally formed therewith; wherein the first storage tank, the second storage tank and the partitioning wall are constituted by a first split counterpart and a second split counterpart, both splitting the first storage tank, the second storage tank and the partitioning wall into one of upper and lower sections, right and left sections, or fore and rear sections; and wherein both of the first split counterpart and second split counterpart are molded by means of an injection molding method, and are bonded with each other through a bonding between a joining edge of the first split counterpart and a joining edge of the second split counterpart, which is effected by means of a vibration welding.

Double-chamber tank and method of manufacturing the same

An internal combustion engine which comprises an engine body, and an air-intake side protective cover disposed at an air-intake side of the engine body, wherein the air-intake side protective cover is provided on the outer surface thereof with recessed grooves. The internal combustion engine may further comprise an exhaust side protective cover which is disposed in opposite to the air-intake side protective cover with the engine body being interposed therebetween and the recessed grooves are made to have substantially the same width and interval as those of a suitable number of heat radiating slit-like through-holes formed parallel with each other in the exhaust side protective cover.

Internal combustion engine

A hand-held gardening machine includes a pair of upper and lower clipper blades each formed with clipper teeth. The clipper blades are caused to slidably reciprocate in a longitudinal direction thereof by means of output from a power source. A comb-like safety plate is formed with protrusions protruding beyond the tips of the teeth. The positions at which the protrusions of the safety plate are located are selectable from overlapping positions of the teeth of the clipper blades and positions shifted from the overlapping positions.

Hand-held gardening machine

A hand-held edger is disclosed which is so constructed that the lower portions of the gear box and the safety cover member are prevented from directly scraping against the ground during trimming operation to enable abrasion thereof to be avoided, and that tendency to be caught by lawn grasses and liability to wobble are extremely reduced to enable improved operational properties to be attained. The hand-held edger comprises a supporting rod 14 one end of which is connected to a prime mover, a gear box 20 connected to the other end of said supporting rod 14, a rotary blade 22 which is driven by power transmitted from said prime mover via said gear box 20, a safety cover member 12 which covers said rotary blade 22, and a traveling wheel 17 journal-supported by a rear portion 12b behind said gear box 20, wherein a ring-shaped traveling auxiliary wheel 30 is rotatably mounted over the circumference of said gear box 20.

Hand-held edger

A centrifugal clutch includes a spring consisting of a single wire member and adapted to hold a pair of clutch shoes in mutual relation to each other. With this simple structure, the centrifugal clutch helps to facilitate the production, assembly, etc. thereof and reduce the vibrations and noise during its operation. The spring, which consists of a single spring wire member, includes a pair of ring-shaped sections and a pair of clutch shoe holding sections extending in parallel each other and in opposite directions from each of the ring-shaped sections.

Centrifugal clutch

A part mounting device including a fixing metal member which is, in the inside of a synthetic-resin member, fixed to the other periphery of a metal member by the clamping force of a clamp screw. Inward protrusions are integrally formed on the synthetic-resin member, protruding radially inward. Engagement holes are formed in the fixing metal member for receiving the inward projections fitted into and engaged with the engagement holes. A bore is formed in the synthetic-resin member for inserting the clamp screw into the inside of the synthetic resin member.

The device for mounting a carburetor having a body made of synthetic resin comprises a heat insulating member for intercepting transmission of heat from a cylinder of an engine to the carburetor and a temperature adjusting metallic member is interposed between the heat insulating member and the carburetor.

A trimmer including a flexible shaft extending through a hollow straight operation rod for transmitting driving power from a prime mover to a gear chamber. A clearance is defined between an inner wall surface of the hollow operation rod and an outer peripheral surface of the flexible shaft.

Trimmer

A grass trimmer has a support which supports a portion of a control rod on the side thereof which is closer to a prime mover in such a manner that the portion is received inside the support and which rotatably supports the output shaft of a clutch for coupling a transmission shaft received inside the control rod. The support is constituted by an integral tubular member and receives a vibration damping sleeve therein. Two semi-cylindrical fixing members are provided in opposed relation to each other inside a portion of the vibration damping sleeve on the side thereof from which the control rod is inserted.

Grass trimmer

A heat insulating mounting device for use with a carburetor of an internal combustion engine including a heat insulating casing formed of a heat insulating synthetic resinous material for enclosing the carburetor connected to a cylinder in a manner to isolate the carburetor from the heat of radiation of the engine, and a flexible air passageway of small thickness formed of a heat insulating high molecular compound of rubbery properties heat insulatingly communicating the carburetor with the cylinder.

Heat insulating mounting device for carburetor

A scavenging blower includes a fan driven by an air-cooled, two-cycle engine for blowing air through an air discharging port. The fan is housed in a fan chamber disposed in side-by-side relation to the engine, and an air passageway is formed around a crankcase of the engine and a fuel tank is located beneath the engine. A handle gripped by one hand is attached to the outer periphery of the fan chamber so that the blower can be operated single-handed.
