A method and a device for assisting the positioning of a device capable of connecting to a Wi-Fi local area network of a domestic gateway of a user. Such a method is implemented by a mobile terminal placed in a domestic environment of the user. The Wi-Fi signal levels emitted by the mobile terminal and received by the domestic gateway originate from the domestic gateway, and at successive time intervals, and an average is calculated during a sliding time window and of a determined duration. This average is compared with a value of at least one determined threshold. A piece of information representative of the area of the domestic environment in which the mobile terminal is located with respect to the domestic gateway, is returned to the user.

Method and device for assisting the positioning of a device capable of connecting to a Wi-Fi local area network of a home gateway of a user

A method and device for recording a service in a local network are described. The service includes a set of actions to be carried out on at least one terminal of the network to provide a part of the service. The method includes obtaining a unique identifier, finding capacities of the network terminals, acquiring the found terminal capacities, constructing the service as a sequence of actions on at least one found terminal via a user interface, associating the service with the unique identifier, and recording the service and the associated unique identifier.

Service recording in a local area network

A method of configuring a multimedia device connected to an interconnection device and to at least one terminal is disclosed. The multimedia device includes a service interface to the interconnection device and a terminal interface to said terminal. The method includes an initialization phase including receiving, through the service interface, a first request to obtain an identification parameter authorizing access to a configuration module for the multimedia device, and transmitting, through the service interface, a message destined for the terminal comprising the identification parameter requested. The method includes a configuration phase including identifying the interface through which a second request to access the configuration module is received, sending to the terminal a third request through the terminal interface when the second request is received through the terminal interface for transmission of the identification parameter, and receiving, through the terminal interface, a message sent by the terminal including the identification parameter.

Method of configuring a multimedia device intended to be connected to an interconnection device

A communication device configured to communicate with a terminal using a short-range wireless connection, the terminal comprising several functions, each ongoing function being able to be executed using a function identifier specific to the ongoing function. The communication device is configured for /a/ detecting an event related to an interaction device, the event being associated with a function identifier; /b/ transmitting a message comprising the function identifier and intended to execute a corresponding function of the detected terminal; /c/ and receiving, from the terminal, and via a local network, an access request linked to the detected event.

Short-range communication device

A hub device is configured for communicating with a terminal by using a short-range wireless connection. The hub device is further configured for connecting to a remote service. More particularly, the device is configured for: receiving from the terminal a request to access the remote service, the access request comprising identification parameters for said service; temporarily storing in memory the identification parameters of the request received, in order to send to the remote service a second access request comprising the identification parameters; and upon response from the remote service to the second request, transferring data relating to the service.
