A radio-frequency data transport infrastructure for transmitting radio-frequency data to and from equipment via optical fibers. Such data transport infrastructure being particularly suitable for equipping an aircraft.

Infrastructure for transporting radio-frequency data via optical fibers

A system to communicate via modulated optical signals of the Li-Fi signal type to transmit data to and from a plurality of defined privileged spaces. The communicating system includes a plurality of first light sources, each first light source emitting, in the infrared, a first modulated optical signal. A plurality of optical fibers, each optical fiber guiding the first modulated optical signal from a single first light source in the direction of an optical interface. The optical interface transmitting the first modulated optical signal into a defined privileged space. Each optical fiber also transporting a second modulated optical signal from the associated defined privileged space in the direction of a device configured to acquire the second modulated optical signal.

System for communicating via signals of Li-Fi type

A passive optical communication network includes two optical line terminals configured respectively to receive a communication signal from information systems and at least two optical network units configured to receive the communication signal. At least two optical switches, one part of which is connected at input to a first terminal via a primary nominal operating path and to the second terminal via a secondary path, and the other part of which is connected at input to a second terminal via a primary nominal operating path and to the first terminal via a secondary path. Each switch being connected at output to at least one optical network unit. A command controller connected to the switches and configured to control the switches such that, when a fault is detected on a primary path, the switch associated with the path is toggled.

Passive optical communication network and aircraft containing said network

A data management structure () on board a transportation device, incorporating a cabin () provided with seats (), includes a data resource block () incorporating audiovisual transmission system units (to), outward communication systems () and/or cabin systems, a standardised data distribution architecture (), and devices (Eto E) for operating said systems. In the structure (), the standardised architecture () includes a concentration box () for the bidirectional transfer, on the one hand, of base signals with the resource block () and, on the other hand, optical signals with the devices (Eto E) of the cabin () on at least one optical fibre (). This concentration box () houses units for processing (to) by signal switching, bidirectional conversion into optical signals, and optical signal management by wavelength allocation and distribution of downstream (F) and upstream (F) optical flows. This concentration box () is connected to the devices (Eto E) of said systems via intermediate boxes () also housing processing units (to) according to the devices (Eto E) to which they are connected.

Method for managing data in a transportation cabin and standardised implementation architecture

An optical backplane for an optical communication network architecture distributing data to equipment. An optical demultiplexer having an input port and at least two output ports. The input port coupled to an optical fiber to carry at least two multiplexed channels of different wavelengths, a control/management channel to control/manage the network and a service dedicated channel. The output ports deliver the control/management channel and at least one service dedicated channel. A coupler receives and transmits one portion of the control/management channel to an interface box coupled to an item of equipment, and another portion of said channel to an optical multiplexer. A routing device for each output port receives a channel either to transmit said channel to the optical multiplexer in a first position or to transmit one portion of said channel to the interface box and another portion of said channel to the optical multiplexer in a second position.

Reconfigurable optical backplane

The invention relates to the on-board electric power network architecture of a vehicle cabin using domestic devices, in particular of an aircraft cabin, including primary networks () connected in parallel to a single domestic network () of the cabin for powering domestic devices via converter units (). Measurement sensors () are arranged at the output of each converter unit () and the measurements are transmitted (L) to a regulating device () for sharing the supply of the domestic network () according to the available power, each converter unit () comprises an upstream processing stage (E) and a downstream processing stage (E), each including an anti-disturbance device (D, D), linked (B, B) with the primary network () and linked (B, B) with the domestic network (), respectively. The anti-disturbance devices (D, D) are coupled with a set () of domestic level adapters () distributed in the processing stages (E, E), the set of adapters () likewise including a neutral-line separator ().
