This application relates to an apparatus and method for generating a jamming signal, and a communication system. In one aspect, the method may include converting binary bits of a first communication signal to be transmitted and obtaining at least one codeword matched previously to the binary bits. The method may also include generating a second communication signal by superimposing a first conversion signal being obtained by converting the first communication signal to an up-chirp signal and a second conversion signal being obtained by converting the first communication signal to a down-chirp signal. The method further include generating a pseudo jamming signal by computing the second communication signal and the codeword.

Disclosed is a cooperative spectrum sensing system using sub-Nyquist sampling, which include: a plurality of secondary user terminals for detecting a frequency band occupied by a primary user terminal; and a fusion center, wherein each of the secondary user terminals may include: a receiving unit for receiving signals from the primary user terminal; a sampling unit for performing the sub-Nyquist sampling for the received signals at a predetermined down-sampling rate; an energy-detecting unit for detecting the frequency band occupied by the primary user terminal by detecting energy for the sampled signals; and a calculating unit for calculating a correct detection probability and a false alarm probability for the frequency band occupied by the primary user terminal by using spectrum of the frequency band, and for transmitting results of calculation to the fusion center.

Cooperative spectrum sensing system using sub-nyquist sampling and method thereof

Provided is a method and an apparatus for controlling inter-cellular interference in a heterogeneous network (HetNet) system, in which a macro cell and femto cells coexist. Provided are an indoor wireless positioning system and method capable of more accurately performing indoor wireless positioning by predicting signal attenuation due to a floor or wall within a multi-floor building. The indoor wireless positioning method includes calculating floor loss information of a floor on which the user terminal is located within the building, a higher floor, and a lower floor, calculating the floor on which the user terminal is located by comparing the calculated floor loss information to pre-stored previous floor loss information, calculating information about wall loss in the floor on which the user terminal is located, and acquiring position information on a horizontal plane of the user terminal according to received signal strength of the user terminal and the information about the wall loss. When the position of the user terminal is detected, detection accuracy is improved and more efficient wireless positioning is possible.

Disclosed is a wireless positioning system and method that can perform a high-precision position tracking. The wireless positioning system includes a target device that is an object of wireless positioning, beacon devices and a processing unit. The beacon devices transmits wireless signals and sense reception time points of the wireless signals transmitted from the other beacon devices and the target device and received at time points after the transmission of the wireless signal. The target device receives the wireless signal transmitted from at least one of the beacon devices, and then transmits the wireless signal to the beacon devices. The processing unit obtains the position of the target device by calculating distances between the beacon devices and the target device using information about the reception time points of the wireless signals sensed by the respective beacon devices.

System and method for asynchronous wireless positioning by ordered transmission

A device for compensating for the nonlinearity of a power amplifier which has a simple configuration and can precisely linearize the transfer characteristics of the power amplifier by predistorting an input signal of the power amplifier. The nonlinearity compensation device of the present invention converts an RF input signal into an IF band rather than a baseband and predistorts the RF input signal in digital domain, and thus any modulation or demodulation process is obviated and the simultaneous processing of signals in multiple channels is facilitated. A first downconverter receives the RF input signal and converts the frequency band of the signal into the IF band to output an IF input signal. A predistortion unit receives and predistorts the IF input signal to compensate for the nonlinearity, and outputs an IF predistorted signal. An upconverter converts the frequency band of the IF predistorted signal into the RF band to provide such a signal to the amplifier.
