A toner to develop an electrostatic charge image, the toner including at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a releasing agent, wherein a weight average molecular weight of the toner measured by using a gel permeation chromatography (GPC) method on a tetrahydrofuran (THF) soluble fraction is in a range of about 30,000 to about 80,000 g/mol, wherein a molecular weight distribution curve of the toner obtained by using the GPC method on the THF soluble fraction has at least one peak in a molecular weight range of 100 to 1,000 g/mol, a peak in a molecular weight range of 1,000 to 5,000 g/mol, and a main peak in a molecular weight range of 5,000 to 20,000 g/mol, a method of preparing the toner, a device to supply the toner, and an apparatus and method of forming an image by using the toner. The toner has more than certain levels of low-temperature fixability, an anti-hot-offset property, a charging ability, a gloss property, and a heat storage ability. The toner has a long lifetime, and thus, provides a high-quality image in a stable and energy-saving manner.

A toner to develop an electrostatic charge image, a toner supply device employing the toner, an apparatus to form an image employing the toner, and a method of forming an image using the toner are provided. The toner includes at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a releasing agent. By using the binder resin including a combination of a reduced molar weight binder resin, an increased molar weight binder resin, and the releasing agent having an effecdtive compatibility with the binder resin together, the toner has accurately-controlled dynamic viscoelastic properties represented by a loss tangent. The toner to develop an electrostatic charge image according to an embodiment has development stability, development lifetime, fixability, charging stability, gloss, an anti-offset property, and heat storage ability at predetermined levels or higher.

Toner for developing an electrostatic image, which satisfies charging stability, low-temperature fixability, high-temperature storage characteristics, and durability with respect to an environment up to a predetermined level or above, and a method of preparing the toner. The toner includes: a core layer including a first binder resin, a colorant, and a releasing agent; and a shell layer covering the core layer and including a second binder resin, wherein the first binder resin includes about 70 wt % or above of amorphous polyester resin and about 30 wt % or below of crystalline polyester resin, the second binder resin includes an amorphous polyester resin, and a melting temperature (Tm(C)) of the crystalline polyester resin, a melting temperature (Tm(W)) of the releasing agent, and a melting point (Tm(T)) of the toner satisfy the following conditions: &#x2212;20&#xb0; C.&#x2266;Tm(W)&#x2212;Tm(C)&#x2266;20&#xb0; C.; and 0&#xb0; C.&#x3c;Tm(C)&#x2212;Tm(T)&#x2266;10&#xb0; C.

Toner for developing electrostatic image and method of preparing the same

Disclosed are a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image and a method of preparing the toner. The toner may include a latex, a colorant and a releasing agent, and may further include sulfur (S), iron (Fe) and silicon (Si). The [S]/[Fe] ratio may be within the range between about 5.0&#xd7;10and about 5.0&#xd7;10. The [Si]/[Fe] ratio may be within the range of between about 5.0&#xd7;10and about 5.0&#xd7;10. [S], [Fe] and [Si] are the amounts of S, Fe and Si measured by X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, respectively.

Toner for developing electrostatic latent image and method of preparing the toner

Provided are toner for developing an electrostatic latent image and a method of preparing the same. The toner has G'(60) of about 4.0&#xd7;10Pa to about 4.0&#xd7;10Pa, G&#x2032;(60)/G&#x2032;(80) of about 100 to about 500, and G&#x2032;(100, 140) of about 3.0&#xd7;10Pa to about 1.5&#xd7;10Pa. The G&#x2032;(60) and G&#x2032;(80) are storage moduli Pa at about 60&#xb0; C. and about 80&#xb0; C. under measurement conditions of an angular velocity of about 6.28 rad/s and a heating rate of about 2.0&#xb0; C./minute, respectively. The G&#x2032;(100, 140) is a storage modulus Pa at a temperature of about 100&#xb0; C. to about 140&#xb0; C. under measurement conditions of an angular velocity of about 6.28 rad/s and a heating rate of about 2.0&#xb0; C./minute.
