The present disclosure relates to an IP based vehicle network technology. In a method of providing a support for IPv6 networks operating over vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications, a user equipment (UE) that is mounted on a vehicle to operate based on V2X services communicates with another vehicle through vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication links, generates an available IPv6 address based on a result of communication, and configures an IPv6 address for a multi-hop V2X network when the vehicle moves.

Apparatus and method for providing basic support for IPV6 networks operating over 5G vehicle-to-everything communications

The present disclosure provides a method for performing a handoff by a vehicle in an IP-based vehicular network, the method including: transmitting a first router solicitation (RS) message to a first road-side unit (RSU) to access the vehicular network, the first RS message including mobility information of the vehicle; and receiving a first router advertisement (RA) message from the first RSU as a response to the first RS message, the first RA message including a first prefix of the first RSU for configuring an address of the vehicle, wherein the vehicle performs a first address registration procedure based on the first prefix.

Provided are an indoor positioning method of a positioning apparatus using a particle filter based on an RSSI includes initializing a particle in a base map corresponding to a target space for positioning, measuring a first distance value between a terminal and a beacon and a second distance value between the particle and the beacon, calculating a weight of the particle by comparing the first distance value and the second distance value, updating a previous weight of the particle based on the weight and resampling the particle, deriving location estimation coordinates of the terminal if the resampling has been performed as many as a given number of times, and moving the particle to a given point in the target space and repeatedly measuring the first distance value and the second distance value again.

Methods and apparatuses for indoor positioning using particle filter based on intensity of radio signal

A method for a first vehicle to perform a neighbor discovery in an IP-based vehicular network is disclosed. The method includes, based on the first vehicle failed in a router discovery for a direct registration with an adjacent road-side unit (RSU), sending one or more first neighbor solicitation (NS) messages to a second vehicle; receiving, from the second vehicle, a first neighbor advertisement (NA) message as a response to the first NS message; and sending, to the second vehicle, a second NS message for registering the second vehicle as a relay vehicle based on the first NA message.
